Day three of Izukus time at UA, and reporters surround the school. Fuck. He didn't need anymore attention on him. From being quirkless, to being accepted into U.A, to finding out he had gotten the highest scores ever recorded on the entrance exam, to being stabbed on his first day, Izuku had had enough drama. He sighed, pulling his backpack in front of him and pulling out a small silver stick. Click. The stick extended. He hadn't gotten a chance to practice, but this would have to do. He stepped back from the wall, and ran. Swiftly, pole vaulting over the crowd and having a not so graceful landing on the other side. "Well
that's gonna leave a mark." He murmured, brushing himself off. He heard familiar yelling, loud pop noises filled his head. "Fuck." He spots a certain angry, blonde haired boy push himself out of the crowd of reporters. Bakugou. Before he could even move he felt eyes lock on him. They made eye contact. The blonde's sharp red eyes widened. Izuku ran. He ran as fast as he could, through the halls, past the hero course classes, past general studies, making his way down to his homeroom in the Management course. He ignored the feeling of guilt in his gut, choosing to leave the boy who had saved him at his lowest. (even if he was part of the reason he had gotten there)-
His classes rolled by slowly. He tried his best to focus on the information coming out of each of his teachers mouth's, but his mind kept drifting back to the expression in the red eyes he saw this morning. Guilt. Relief. He pushed down the thoughts and emotions bubbling up and cleared his head.

Support class. Here he could escape. Here he had Hatsume. A friend who accepted him. With her personality and ability to understand his muttering, he felt a little more comfortable. "GOLDEN BOY!" He felt a grin slowly replace his neutral expression upon hearing the nickname. "Hi Hatsume." The pink haired girl pulled him inside the development studio. "Okay so, we got our first request! It's from one of the hero course first years. Monoma Neito from class 1B." Izuku nodded excitedly at the the girl, urging her to continue. "HE GAVE US CREATIVE FREEDOM!! His quirk is Copy, so he needs weaponry to defend himself in case he isn't able to copy someone's quirk." Izuku was practically buzzing, his interest in learning more about the quirk and thinking possible gadgets they could make for the hero student made him ecstatic. "Okay! Let's start brainstorming!" Izuku exclaimed.

The bell rang and with that, support class ended. (far too quickly in Izuku's opinion) Although it did give him something to look forward to. After brainstorming with Hatsume they had come to a conclusion. After reading in detail about the hero student's quirk, they determined that they would construct 3 pocket watches, each was to keep track of how long Monoma could hold, and use, the quirks he copied. The watches, of course, didn't only serve that 'one purpose'. The watches were to be built like a yo-yo, each weighing 30-50 kilograms, packing quite the punch. Tomorrow they would begin the building process! For now though, Izuku had to get through lunch.
After grabbing his food from Lunch Rush, he began towards the table where Hatsume was waiting, only to spot a certain red eyed boy he had been trying to avoid. His eyes darted around looking for a way to avoid being confronted by the boy. That's when it happened, as if it were an apology from the universe for all the shit he had gone through. An alarm blared. Everyone panicked. Except for the quirkless boy in the middle on the cafeteria who sighed in relief and quickly ran towards Hatsume to make sure she was okay. "Hatsume!" Izuku called out. Hatsume quickly spotted him with the help of her quirk and went towards him. "What happening?" Hatsume asked him as they were both pushed into a window by the crowd of panicking students. "I'm not sure. Can you use your quirk to see what's happening outside?" Hatsume nodded and stared out the window. "It seems a crowd of reporters managed to break in." Hatsume informed Izuku. "How in the fuck did they manage that?"
Hatsume's eyes widened. "One of the walls meant to prevent intruders, has been turned to dust.
Izuku froze. Dust? He thought about a certain pale, blue haired man. His heart felt heavy. He really hoped he was wrong.

After some time, and a few members of Class 1A calming everyone, classes resumed as scheduled. Like many other students Izuku headed towards his English class with Present Mic. Taking his seat and allowing his mind to focus on one of his idols, ignoring the suspicion of his older friends involvement in the break in clouding the back of his mind. "Hellooo listeners!!" Present Mic greeted his class. "I hope all of you aren't too rattled by the alarm earlier. It appears a crowd of reporters managed to break their way onto school grounds. The rest of the staff and I ensure you that nothing like that will happen again."
Izuku could tell that wasn't the whole truth. The way Present Mic shifted back and forth while talking confirmed it. The teachers must've seen the wall that had been turned to dus- "Alrighty! Let's begin class then, shall we?" Present Mic said, breaking Izuku out of whatever his next train of thought was.

The rest of school pasted swiftly, all the teachers doing their best to keep the students minds at ease. So as the last bell rang announcing the end of the 6th period everyone was back to chatting with friends and making after school plans. Everyone that is, but Izuku. Izuku on the other hand had to made his way to the door of class 1A to meet with Mr. Aizawa. He walked in, only to bump straight into a taller boy with red hair. "Sorry man! I wasn't watching where I was going. You okay?" The boy asked Izuku. "I'm fine, sorry for crashing into you." Izuku said, the boy seemed nice enough but Izuku knew all too well how much that could change if he found out Izuku was quirkless. "DEK-Izuku?!" A far too familiar voice shouted from behind the red head. Izuku couldn't move. He took a staggered step back from the two boys. "You know him Bakubro?" The red head asked. Bakugou pushed the red head aside. "Katsuki" Izuku spoke cautiously looking up at his Ex-Bully. "DONT FUCKING 'KATSUKI' ME! DONT ACT LIKE YOU DIDNT FUCKING RUN FROM ME THE MINUTE YOU SAW ME THIS MORNING! WE NEED TO TALK AND WE BOTH KNOW WHY." Bakugou yelled. Izuku gulped. "Maybe we do. But now is not the time. I have a class to get to and so do you." Izuku squeezed passed them. Bakugou whipped around to face Izuku and Aizawa, who was sitting at his desk. Before he could get out a word Aizawa spoke up, "Bakugou I excused your language during the scene you just made out of respect since you and Midoriya obviously have history, don't make me regret it." And with that every remaining member of class 1A hurried out of the classroom without daring to ask questions. "Now for you problem child. Are we going to have any issues regarding this lesson or can we continue?" Aizawa glared at Izuku, receiving a quick nod from the boy who sat down at a desk quickly. And so Aizawa resumed teaching.

Izuku's last class flew by, leaving him and the hero course to walk out of the school together. Usually this meant Izuku straying away from everyone, but judging by the interaction he had had with Katsuki earlier Izuku doubted he would be able to avoid him. So instead he prepared himself. The minute he walked out of school and was met with the image of the blonde boy, he simply gave in. "Okay. Let's talk."
