It wasn't meant to be forever.

It wasn't even meant to be them.

Silvia knew that. She knew that she could never keep the blonde boy for herself. Yet it hurt every time. It hurt knowing that Brian Jones was never hers.

She watched from behind Charlie, as the band played through the songs. Her eyes slowly closed as she listens to the sitar being played. It was her favorite sound. Expect for his voice. He was her favorite thing, favorite sound and favorite sight.

Brian knew he would break her. She was fragile. Made of glass. The finest thing to ever walk earth. And Brian would spoil her rotten if he could. But she was far from his reach. Even if he tried he could never reach her.

She smelled like spring and lavender, while Brian smelled like cigarette and alcohol. They weren't a match made in heaven. But how they both wished they were.

"Mr. Jones."

"Silvia dear."

They didn't exchange more words. They mostly greeted one another, Silvia in a formal way and Brian in a more flirty way. And how she melted each time. But she couldn't show it. No one could see her falling harder for Brian Jones every day.

When Silvia got the news, she couldn't believe it. Brian Jones. Drowned. Just 27 years old. Charlie had called her, feeling his heart break by her screaming. He sat at the phone for hours just listening to her cry.

The funeral was the worst this she had ever experienced. It didn't feel right saying goodbye to him now. There were so many things left unsaid. Left undone.

She fiddled around with the skirt of her dress when a girl made her way over.

"Excuse me? Are you Silvia?"

The dirty blonde girl nodded at the stranger.

"Brian left this for you. Or I found it cleaning his room."

'Brian left this for you'. Brian Jones. Her Mr. Jones had left a letter for her. It was worth more then money and gold, and the young girl let her fingers glide carefully over the envelope.

My dear Silvia. Silvia, my dear.

She cried while hugging the envelope close to her chest. There wasn't a secret that they had both loved each other. More then anyone knew. But they never got the chance.

It wasn't supposed to Mr. Jones and his Silvia dear.

It was never supposed to be them.
