"Alright, alright maybe slow down a little would ya. When I bought you that beer I didn't expect you to actually drink it," Dallas warns, his signature cross expression placed perfectly on his face.
"That's the same thing you said when you bought me the first one. What am I on now? Three? If you didn't want me drunk then why did you keep buying them for me?" I hiccup slamming my glass onto the counter letting out a laugh.
"First of all, I bought you the first one. Buck has seemingly had such a fun time watching a pretty girl like yourself that he just kept refilling ya. And why I bought you one in the first place? I don't know, I guess I thought it would be a fun joke and an excuse for me to drink two beers. I wasn't really expecting to have to deal with a drunk Christine tonight," He claims, drawing out the 'T' sound in my name just to annoy me.
"Hmmm," Is all I reply before taking my time to look Dallas up and down, "Where did you get that necklace?"
"It's nothing," Dally sternly replies before shoving it inside his shirt protectively, "Now let me get you water, I can tell you need it,"
"No, I'm fine..." I lie trying my hardest to keep a serious face, "Now why can't you tell me?"
"It just belongs to someone I used to know that's all,"
"Who, you're mother, cousin, sister..." I list off not realizing how annoyed I'm making Dally.
"My ex," He snaps shooting me an annoyed glare before facing towards the bar.
"Oh..." Is all I reply turning red. Why would he still be wearing a necklace from his ex? I thought Dallas Winston had no feelings. I thought he was the type of person to not believe in love, "I'm going to go to the bathroom," I then explain trying to ease off some of the tension.
After almost tripping on my face to get off the stool I manage to wander through the crowds of people. I guess they don't seem as intimidating under the influence.
"What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?" A woman who looks to be in her mid-20s asks me as I enter the bathroom.
"Having a good time," Is all I reply not sure what else to say noticing how horribly done her eyeliner is.
"Having a good time at Bucks? Seems like you've hit a rut, girls like you never end up here," The woman explains, her breath smelling of cigarettes and vodka.
"What do you mean girls like me? I don't blend in or something?" I hiccup.
"Hell no you don't, your purple short skirt and matching headband tell me all I need to know,"
"Huh, well maybe I'm trying to move on from that," I respond throwing my headband onto the floor, as I begin to unbutton my top.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," She stops me at the second button, "I don't know what you're thinking but that ain't necessary. I can see half of your bra and I ain't into girls. Plus the whole lot of Bucks does not need a free showing of your tits. At least without paying for it. What's your deal out here?"
"I don't know. I just need a break from life I guess," I continue to talk surprising myself.
"Hey let me buy you a shot. It will be fun, another pretty face to drink with, sign me up. Plus you could use the distraction,"
"I don't..." I start before taking a second to let my drunk brain take over, "Sure what the hell," I smile before she takes my hand and drags me back out.
"Hey, get me some tequila shots!" The chick yells across the bar receiving whistles from around the room. I reluctantly follow her and she hands me one of the small shot glasses. My hair is almost as loose as my body and mind.
