"Chris?" Two-Bit's familiar voice rings from behind me, "You're crying,"

  Shit.

"Two-Bit," I reply already feeling defeated, "How much of that did you hear?" I ask wiping the tears from my face, I hadn't even realized I have been crying.

"What didn't I hear? Did you kiss Soda? He just broke up with Sandy a week ago. All of this while you seem to be pretty in love with Dallas?"

"I- I can explain," I panic walking up to him.

"You have nothing to explain, you owe me nothing. I just don't understand why you won't tell Soda,"

"Do you think he heard?" I ask somewhat ignoring his last statement.

"No, they are all still in the kitchen. I am sure they heard yelling but none of it was too legible,"

"I don't know what's going on Two... I feel like I should like Soda, I know I should, but it's just hard to explain,"

"Why Dallas? You guys seem to hate each other and there is no way in hell he will ever settle down with another broad,"

"Another broad?" I repeat thinking about the necklace Dallas wears. How he told me it belonged to someone.

"His ex-girlfriend, her name was Sylvia, she was two- timin' him while he was in jail,"

"Dallas was in jail?" I ask interested but, not surprised.

"Yeah, you know him... he never likes to do things the legal way," Two-Bit continues, "Did he leave?"

"Yeah, he told me to tell everyone he said goodbye," I reply after a minute letting my brain process everything.

"Well, are you coming back inside?" Two asks.

"I- yes. I have to, Soda was my ride here," I reply, "I will follow you inside,"

"Yeah, sure,"

"Two, can you promise me something? I know that you are the funny guy in the group but, can you be serious about this? Please don't tell anyone about Dally and me, about what you heard tonight. Especially not Soda,"

"Chris-"

"Two-Bit, please. Let me figure this out. School starts in a few days and I'm already stressed enough about that. Let me figure this out by myself. Please Two-Bit,"

"Chris I-"

"Two-Bit, please,"

"Fine," He finally replies, "I won't say a word,"

"Thank you, I owe you, seriously,"

"Yeah, you do. And for starters, I get the couch tonight,"

"Yeah, sure," I reply as I follow him back inside.

Back in the house, I feel a slight blanket of relief, the sound of teasing and laughter is pouring out of the kitchen.

"Hey, we were just getting ready to watch a movie," Soda smiles, taking me aside once he notices me.

"Cool," I shortly reply, truthfully wanting to be alone in my room for once. Something that seems so surprising after being in lockdown.

"Hey, are you okay?" Soda asks as he gently grabs my chin, "It looks like you've been crying,"

"I'm fine," I reply pushing his hand away, "Really, I am," I continue trying to ignore Two-Bit's stare from the corner of my eye.

  "What happened?"
