"I hate arguing with you I hope you know that. And I will never, ever go on a date with another soc guy, not over my dead body," I harshly explain before getting out of Dallas' car.
"Seriously Chris?" Dally retorts, his voice annoyed but trying to sound sympathetic.
"Don't call me that, not when I'm mad at you anyway. And here take your coat back, your attitude could use some warming," I explain before ripping his coat off and throwing it at him before slamming the car door, the rain still pouring down.
"Seriously?" I hear Dallas' mumbled voice echo before I start to storm off, trying my hardest to ignore his existence, "You're not going to seriously walk all the way home are you?" He yells through his now-open window.
"Leave me alone Dallas," I reply without giving him the gift of my attention.
"Seriously Chris, get in the car," Dallas demands once again, his voice even more annoyed, "If you make it home you will have a cold from the rain,"
"Looks like it's supposed to clear up doesn't it?" I reply throwing my hands towards the sky.
"Are you fucking serious?"
"Leave me alone, please," I demand finally turning to look at him, "Please, I could use a walk to cool off,"
"Fine," Dally growls before revving his engine to drive off.
I watch as his truck slowly disappears in the distance and I finally realize just how stubborn I was being. But who cares, Dallas was being a jerk.

The walk home took longer than I expected it to. Mother was still over at Aunt Kathy's by the time I got back. The clock read 2:30 and the rain stopped falling. Nevertheless, I found myself shivering from my damp clothing.
I decide to take a warm bath to feel better, confused about my emotions, about Dallas Winston. Maybe I can drown my feeling towards him away.

The remainder of the day flew by decently fast. Mother, Aunt Kathy, and I are found having dinner at our house. We are having some sort of casserole that they made together during the day. It tastes fine but to be honest my appetite is not the strongest it has ever been.
Mother and Auntie keep asking me questions, but all of my answers are distracted. All of my thoughts are stuck on the greaser boys, especially Dallas. We kissed today, not only was it a quick peck or one like I had with Soda that didn't mean anything. We made out in a field, he made me feel things that I had never felt before and I blew it all. He gave me his coat for fucks sake and somehow we ended up in a fight... like we always seem to do.
I wish that never happened. I wish we could just tolerate each other.
"Christine?" Mother's voice echoes releasing me from my thoughts.
"Yes? Sorry, what?" I reply unaware of what she asked.
"Are you excited for tonight's movie? Seems as though you had fun the last time you went. Seems like you met some friends didn't you?"
"I'm excited, made some friends well enough," I dryly reply.
"What was her name... Sherri? Are you and her friends still?" Auntie asks.
"I think so, Cherry is nice enough," I reply once more thinking about Dally's earlier comments.

Aunt Kathy insisted on driving me to the movie once again but I decided to decline her offer and take my bike instead.
I pay the usual change to get inside the show and hesitantly make my way toward the seating. Automatically I see Cherry's fire-red hair and am met with contemplation. Should I sit with her and pretend like everything is fine and dandy? Or should I sit by myself?
