Sunday morning I am awoken extra early by my mom for another chemo session. Or as I like to call them, sessions of evil. Haha, I am hilarious.

We arrive at the hospital at 7:58, just two minutes before my appointment. Stupid early morning chemo. I would much prefer sleep right now if this weren't the difference between possible life and death. Chemo could help, maybe not, but it could.

"Come on in Selena! How are you doing?" Dr. Barnes asks when he sees me enter. I guess he was waiting for me. I'm probably his first appointment, of course my mom couldn't get a later one. She said she wanted me to spend time with my dad later so she didn't want chemo in the way. Why couldn't I spend time with him then go to chemo? Who knows.

"Tired," I grumble.

"Brighten up!" he grins.

"How can one simply 'brighten up' this early," I groan.

He laughs in response and leads me to the chemo therapy room. I follow the procedures and thankfully, it is over as soon as I know it.

"I'll see you soon!" I call to Dr. Barnes as we leave the hospital.

My mom helps me into the car and I decide to lay down and take a nap. I fall asleep within moments, still exhausted from waking up so early on top of getting the chemo.

I feel someone wrap their arms around me and begin to carry me inside.

"What are you doing here so early anyway, John?" I hear my mom ask.

"I wanted to check up on her. I should've asked first," the person holding me says.

I smile and bury my face into his chest, keeping my eyes closed and still acting asleep, I still feel tired.

"No, it's fine. If you want you can stay up in her room with her. Door open of course and get me when she wakes up. Okay?"

"Of course," John says and I feel him going up the steps.

How is a boy siffering a life threatening disease at a horrible stage managing to carry me up steps? Is he superman? He is my superman.

He lays me down in my bed and tucks me in. I hear him walk to over to a chair and sit.

"Lay down with me," I mumble.

"What?" he asks.

I barely crack my eyes open and lift my head.

"I need a cuddle buddy," I say with a slight grin on my face.

He smiles and makes his way to me, tucking himself under the blanket as well. He slings an arm around my waist and pulls me into his stomach.

"Go to sleep," he whispers, then kisses my cheek.

I close my eyes completely again and allow sleep to take over while John holds me tightly.I love this boy.

I wake up and feel and arm wrapped around me. I roll over and find John holding me with one arm and doing something on his phone with his other.

"Morning sunshine," I mumble.

"You mean afternoon? It's just going on one. I fell alseep with you for a while but you have been sleeping for a few hours," he says.

"Oops!" I grin then sit up slowly.

"I should probably go get your mom, when you guys got back she told me to," he says.

I nod, remembering her telling him that. He stands and leaves the room. I lay back down and curl up on my side. I feel a lot better than I did this morning.
