"Hurry up John! Geez!" I shout.

"Hey! A man has to do his best to look good!" he calls. I hear the toilet flush then he barges out.

He looks almost exactly the same as he did when he went in there twenty minutes ago. His outfit is different and his hair is combed out but that shouldn't have taken him so long.

"Whatever, what took you so long?" I ask again.

"Fine, I had to take a crap," he smirks then turns on his heels and walks away. I drop my mouth open and gape at his retreating body.

"Thats so gross!" I exclaim, scrunching my nose.

"Not really, everyone does it. Anyway, are you ready to go?" he asks.

"Yes, I have been ready for half an hour, your lazy arse wouldn't get out of bed to get ready!" I roll my eyes.

"Someone awfully moody this morning," he jokes.

"I am not moody!" I argue as we make our way down the steps.

"I was kidding," he grins, wrapping his arm around my waist.

I smile and we go into the kitchen where my mother is sitting at the table.

"You two better hurry up and eat then book it!" she says, not looking up from her phone.

"Actually I was wondering if we cans top for something on the way to school, I need to get there early to talk to Sierra and Lucy," I say.

"That will be fine I guess, just don't forget to eat," she says.

"I would never forget to eat," John chuckles.

"Okay, well have fun at school!" she says.

"How can someone possibly have fun at school mom?" I mutter.

"Just go," she says, waving us off. John takes my hand and drags me to his car. We leave, stopping at Starbucks for coffee and muffins.

"So what time does your practice end tonight?" John asks me.

"Around seven," I reply, sipping my cappucino.

"Well you better get home and be ready by nine, we have a date tonight," John says with his signiture smirk.

"Youre quite demanding you know," I state.

"Yup!" he says just as we pull into the school parking lot.

"So I really don't have a choice as to whether or not I go on this date?" I ask.

"No, you do not," he says, climbing out of the car and rushing over to open my door for me.

"You don't have to pretend to be a gentleman yet," I joke.

"That was cold Tanners," he says, placing his hand on his chest.

"Man up and deal with it," I wink.

He wraps his arms around my waist and looks down at me.

"You really hurt my feelings," he pouts.

"Sucks to suck," I say, trying to wriggle from his arms.

"Fine, have it your way!" within seconds I am being picked up and carried bridle style.

I slap his chest repeatedly but don't complain as he walks towards our friends and places me on the ground. I stand up, wiping dirt off of my clothes.

"I really hate you, I hope you know that by now," I grumble.

"I know," he says, patting my head.

I swat his hand away then turn to our friends who have stopped their conversation and are staring at us with amusement clear in their eyes.
