*Selena's POV*

During all of seventh period Jacob ignores me. It kinda hurts but my mind is set on my big plan for if Lucille can come over to my place.

All we are doing in this class is taking notes today. Usually when it's a notes day Im talking with Jake or Alexa, but neither of them are talking to me at the moment so I jut sit there, bored.

At least I can look forward to having Lucille over! Wow, I jut said that. I, Selena Tanners, am looking forward to hanging out with a geek.

"Jake," I whisper.

"Sh I don't want to get in trouble. I can't get kicked out before the big game," he mutters, not even looking at me.

I stare at him in shock. We always talk and have never once gotten caught, he's never cared if we do get caught either. I know that the big game coming up isn't a factor either. The teacher would only scold us and the coach would never bench him of talking in class.

Something's going on and I have a feeling that it isn't going to end well but I can't let him not talking to me for one class period get to me head.

I get to talk to Ms. Lilian about going back to dance soon and then Lucille is coming over later, I should be excited. Not fretting over something that might not even be true!

I shake my head, as if to erase anymore bad thoughts from y mind and attempt to pay attention to the lecture.

I try but get bored and pull out my phone. I click on the Facebook app and begin scrolling through my newsfeed.

Ed broke up with Jenny, Taylor hates Tanya, Marilyn stole Leila's boyfriend, and other every day teenage drama.

I continue scrolling until finally the bell rings. I jump out of my seat and turn to talk to Jake but he is ready heading towards the door to leave.

"Jake! Wait up!" I call.

He stops and slowly turns around, waiting for me. I don't know if it's just me but it looks as if he is hesitating.

I speed walk towards him and give him a questions look, "why didn't you wait for me?"

"Oh sorry the last person to practice has to do one hundred extra sit ups," he says.

"Mmm, well I'm heading over to the dance studio. We can walk together?" I state although it comes out as a question.

"Yeah sure," he says.

I reach for his hand and he grabs my own. Together we walk to the football field.

"See ya," I wave.

"Bye babe," he nods before turning and walking away.

I stare at his retrieving figure and think, he is absolutely perfect. He didn't dump me as soon as I went bald. For that I thank The Lord.

When he enters the guys locker room I turn and jog to the dance studio so I don't interrupt the dance practice should be starting soon.

I make it into the studio just as all of the girls like out of the dressing room. Ms. Lilian looks up when she hears the door shut.

"Selena! How are you dear?" she exclaims when she realizes it is me standing at the door.

The class looks up at me and whispers erupt throughout the room. I grin confidently even though my stomach is churning and I feel like crying already.

"You look very pretty Selena," Ms. Lilian continues, ignoring the classes loud whispering.

"Yeah pretty ugly," a familiar voice whispers behind me.
