So maybe the sun didn't pale in comparison to his smile,
or maybe his words couldn't melt every sorrow I ever had,
but, god, that boy's eyes,
they were something else
they put the fucking ocean to shame
and made the world seem dull
and when I looked into them
I did believe they were the doors to his soul.
They were made of the things people don't believe in.
There was always something about that boy,
and I swear you could see it in his eyes.
