There are some nights when you'll hold me in your arms
in a way that friends really shouldn't.
There are some mornings when I'll wake up
to you whispering in my ears.
There are some afternoons when you'll kiss me goodbye
and I won't want you to leave without one last touch.
So maybe we are just two stupid, young, careless kids who are hopelessly in love.
And maybe I don't want to admit it.But for now we'll settle for
lingering fingertips ghosting across skin
and lost murmurs that manage to be heard through the darkness
and cheek kisses you give on my front doorstep.
