Somehow, you managed to catch up to the taxi Aizawa was in and was able to help him out before going to find a parking space of your own. Aizawa agreed to meet you up at his apartment so you can make dinner for him and clean up a bit.
In the elevator, you did your best to calm your nerves. You were just helping an injured coworker, a friend, even. That's it. No more, no less. Once the elevator dings, you walk down the hallway looking for his apartment and hover your hand over the door in hesitation before softy knocking on the door.
"It's open." A tired voice says from the inside. You carefully push the door open and take in your surroundings. The decor and furniture is minimal but has an heir of comfort to it. Most of the mess is concentrated in the living room area, no doubt where he's spent most of his time with Present Mic. The kitchen is clean but there are a pile of dishes in the sink, you'll tackle those after you cook dinner.
"Could you, um, could you help me in here?" You followed Aizawa's voice into his bedroom. He managed to get his scarf off but he was struggling to get his shirt off.
"You need help getting your shirt off?" He sighed.
"My casts won't let me move completely, Mic has been helping me dress." You take a shaky breath.
"Ok, well, put your arms up as high as you can." He struggles to lift them, you gently grab the bottom of his shirt and maneuver it off.
"Thanks." You nod as you fold the shirt and set it on the bed.
"I'm going to start dinner, do you need anything else?" He nods.
"Could you feed my cat and change out their litter?" Did he have a cat? You didn't see it when you walked in.
"Yeah, of course." You left the room and put your hands on your face. You didn't want to sound like a repressed Victorian woman, but when you took his shirt off, you felt a bit of his skin that wasn't in bandages and it sent a shiver down your spine.
"Sheesh, girl, get it together." You mumbled to yourself. You were startled when you heard a soft meow coming from behind the couch. It was Aizawa's cat, a white little fur ball. It must've been hiding when you walked in.
"Aren't you pretty?" You reach out your hand so the cat could sniff it and it gave you permission to pet it.
"So pretty and nice." You say softly to it.
"That cat doesn't like strangers." Aizawa is standing in the entry way, sweatpants loosely hanging around his hips. He must've put them on when you left.
"Oh, well, I guess I must be good with animals then." You pull your hand away and the cat follows it, asking for more pets.
"Guess so....the cat food is in that cabinet on the right there. I'd feed it but-" He lifts his casts up.
"Ah, yes. I'll get started." You open the cabinet and notice how far up the food is. You look back and see Aizawa walking over to the couch, so you quickly climb up on the counter, grab a can and get down before he's able to turn around.
"Did you have any requests for dinner?" He shakes his head.
"No, anything will be fine. I don't have that much of an appetite anyway." He leans his head back on the couch and closes his eyes.
"Have you been able to get a good nights rest? Like at all?" You ask, he chuckled.
"I barely got good sleep before the injuries, now I mostly just lay there until I get tired." You slowly walk around the island separating the kitchen from the living room.
"Do you remember when I came to your class when they were acting up?"
"I remember.......thank you for that."
"Sure thing, but if you remember, I put Bakugo and Midorya to sleep with my quirk. Would you want me to try that with you?" He opened his eyes and lifted his head to look at you.
"Is it actual sleep? Or?"
"It's actual sleep..I won't go fishing around in your mind or anything. Only put you to sleep while I cook dinner." He weighed the pros and cons.
"There are no lasting side effects? It's just sleep?" You nod.
"Yep! Just sleep."
"Alright then, go ahead." You smile and step closer to the couch.
"Alright, get comfortable. You want a blanket?" He nods and settles into the couch. You drape the blanket over him and lightly brush his bangs to the side. He looks up at you and hold eye contact with you for a couple seconds. Your cheeks heat up and you smile shyly.
"You ready?" He nods. "Alright, sweet dreams." You gently tap his temples and he instantly slumps over into a deep sleep. His head nodded forward and you pushed it back on the couch. Pushing his bangs to the side again, admiring his face as he slept. He looked so peaceful.
You begin making dinner, deciding to just make some rice and chicken. Aizawa has a surprisingly well stocked fridge.
"Didn't take you for the chef." You mutter quietly. While you were waiting for the chicken to finish, you check up on Aizawa. His mouth opened slightly and he began to drool a little. You smile and wipe it off with a napkin. Once everything is cooked, you clean the entire kitchen, feed his cat and change the litter. Even putting his laundry in the dryer. You sit on your phone for a couple more minutes while Aizawa snores softly.
"Alright, it's time for you to wake up." You lean over and snap. Aizawa immediately opens his eyes and adjusts in his seat. He looks at the blanket on him and then at you.
"Hey there, sleepy head." You smile and sit back down.
"Is it morning already?" You laugh.
"No, it's not morning."
"It feels like I've slept for hours.."
"It's only been about 2"
"Really?"
"Really." His eyes look so much more refreshed than usual.
"I haven't had sleep like that in a long time, that quirk of yours is something else." You set your phone in your lap.
"Well, I'm glad I could help. Dinner is on the stove, everything is clean and your cat was well fed. Do you need anything else?"
He shakes his head."No, I should be fine..thank you for the help." You get up.
"Of course. If you need any more help, feel free to message me, ok?" He looks up and you swear he's smiling underneath the bandages on his face.
"I'll consider it. Are you on your way out?"
"Yeah! I have to feed my own dogs. They've been cooped up since this morning."
"Ah yes, the protectors of the night walks." You smile as you head for the door.
"Yes, the protectors of the night walks..that's a good name."
"Good night, Ms. [L/N]."
"Good night, Mr. Aizawa." You head to your car and drive home.
Later that night you think about how electric Aizawa's skin felt under your fingertips. You took the time to admire his body while he was asleep. Even with all the bandages, he was quite muscular. You should've expected it because he's an active pro hero but it still surprised you somehow.
You thought about the way his chest rose up and down as he slept and the way his sweats hung loosely hung on his hips sent tingles shooting down your body to your core. You quickly dismissed the thoughts before allowing yourself to think about him that way. You always try to avoid it because once you started, it would be the only thing you'll think about...
