Your voice was basically gone by the time the noonday break rolls around. You mostly see the students when they walk to class or pop in for a session, rarely do you ever get to see them in their element.
"These kids are AMAZING!" Yua ruffles her pom poms and jumps up and down excitedly. You stand up and stretch.
"They all did so well! Ready for some lunch?" She nods and you make your way up the stands find something to eat. You chat amongst some of the other staff that were also making their way out. Mic and Aizawa make their way out of the booth and Yua nudges you with her elbow, hard.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"Look! It's your boo thang! Go talk to him!" You slow down your pace.
"I...I dunno." You suddenly feel very self conscious. She sighs impatiently.
"Fineeee, I'll go with you." She grabs your shoulders and starts pushing you in their direction before you can say anything. "Hi you guys! You're doing great!" Mic notices you first and waves.
"Thanks gals. Off to lunch?"
"Yeah! Wanna eat with us?" Your eyes widen and you look at Yua.
"Sure! Let's get going!" This time Aizawa's eyes widen and he looks over at Mic who gives you all two big thumbs up.
You wouldn't quite consider yourself an introvert, but compared to Yua and Mic, you might as well have been. They were walking ahead of you, happily chatting away about various topics. You and Aizawa walked in silence before you got the nerve to say anything when you both started at the same time.
"Sorry, you go first." Aizawa says quietly.
"Haha, I was just about to say they're getting along well." You lift your chin up to Yua and Mic.
"I'm not surprised. Mic gets along with everyone." He huffs.
"Same with Yua. I'd like to say I do too, but I'm nowhere near her level, socially." You smile.
"I'd say you are in your own way." You look over at him.
"Why do you say that?"
"Everyone likes you. You're nice and easy to talk to.." He refuses to look at you, so he doesn't notice your goofy little smile.
"Aw, Shouta. I didn't know you felt that way." You lightly nudge him.
"Plus you're not afraid to wash your coworker's hair. That takes guts." You laugh.
"Pffft, very true!" You can tell he smiled through his bandages. You round the corner and walk into a room that has food set aside for the staff. You say hi to some of them as you walk up to get your plates. You grab two.
"How hungry are you?" Aizawa asks.
"Eh, not that hungry."
"Then why the two plates?"
"Oh, I'm helping you. Wasn't that obvious?" He closes his eyes and sighs.
"I don't need help." He says, annoyed.
"Too bad, I'm already helping you." You start serving food in both plates, asking him what he wants as you move through the line. You all finally get through and find some seats.
"Soooooo, now that we're here..." Yua starts off, you immediately look up and glare at her, warning her to tread lightly.
"Relaaaax, [y/n]. I was just gonna ask when Aizawa was gonna get his casts off." She says before shoving some food in her mouth.
"Technically I have about 2 more weeks, but I asked if it was ok for me to see Recovery girl to speed up the process and they cleared me for it, so I'm hoping in the next couple days or so."
