Chapter Fourteen: The Little Lion- 1995
"I'm sceeerrd." Camila says, looking around paranoid. "I'm not old enough to be out this laaaate." She says again in a funny voice.
"You'll be fine, we literally have to prefects with us. They can just lie and say they are turning us in." Kate points out, looking ahead of them at the trio.
"Oh true true true."
"Wait, hold it." Harry says ahead. He gets an old parchment out and taps his wand to it. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
The parchment fills up with an inked outline of Hogwarts with everyone's names labeled where they are. "Filch is on the second floor." Harry says, reading the map closely.
"And Umbridge?" Hermione asks anxiously.
"Her office. Okay, let's go."
The group hurries down the corridor of the Seventh floor. There was a large stretch of blank wall right across a colossal tapestry. "So... what do we do now, Cuppy?" Camila asks.
"From what I read, all we have to do is walk back and forth three times across the empty wall and concentrate on what it is we want the room to present as." Kate explains.
"Let's give it a go then." Harry says shortly. The five of the walk together, all thinking hard about the room.
"We need somewhere to learn to fight... Just give us a place to practice. Somewhere they can't find us."
It appeared as though Kate's instructions worked because before them was a large polished door. Harry reached out and grasped the brass handle before pulling the door open.
Inside was a vast room lined in torches to illuminate the practice space. Upon the floor, large silk cushions could be found. There were a few book shelves filled with books about hexes and jinxes. On the far end of the room, there was another shelf filled with some gadgets including a Sneaka-scope, secrecy Sensors and a Foe-Glass.
"This will be good when we practice stunning." Ron says happily, stepping on a cushion.
"Oh, and just look at these books!" Hermione says loudly, dragging Camila along with her to the book shelf. She immediately begins reading the titles of the book spines, reading out loud her favorites. "A Compendium of Common Curses and Their Counter-Actions... The Dark Arts Outsmarted...Self-Defensive Spell Work... wow." Hermione says in amazement. "This is wonderful!"
Camila smiles widely at Hermione's glowing face. Hermione grabs Jinxes for the Jinxed from the shelf and melts down on one of the cushions. Camila sits with her, leaning her head on Hermione's shoulder as Hermione begins flipping through and reading the pages to her.
About five minutes later, a gentle knock was heard before Ginny, Michael, Anthony, Neville, Lavender, Parvati, Cho, Owyn, Ramisa and Dean walk in next.
As members find the place, chatter picks up. Camila gets up from her spot with Hermione to go talk to people, leaving her girlfriend with her book in peace.
KJay Parker was the last the show up... some even questioned if the one and only fourth year Slytherin would turn up at all.
"Er- right. Now that everyone's here, I've been thinking about the sort of stuff we ought to do first and- what Hermione?" Harry says slightly annoyed.
"I think we ought to elect a leader."
"He's leader." Cho says without hesitation.
Yes, but I think we ought to vote on it properly."
