Dear Diary,
Yesterday Mr. and Mrs.Amison and Amy’s sister Skylier found out that Amy has been talking to some of us. They were really upset and mad at us because they had found out that Amy has been talking to the slaves. Mr. and Mrs.Amison sent some of us out to the barn where they make us work if we had disobeyed them or wouldn’t answer them when they asked us something. All of us are used to it but they even made Amy go out there! Their own daughter with all of us! Amy has always said that she doesn’t really care for her parents because of what they do and how they treat every person. Amy has told all of us once or twice that if we do leave she would want to come along with us if mine and Darryl’s parents would let her. I told her that I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if she came with us because I’m sure everyone has seen how they have treated her. One night I heard mama talking to daddy and I remember her saying “I don’t care how they treat us, but how they treat their own daughter is unacceptable!” I have to go to bed because I will probably have another day of torture tomorrow so I should try to get some sleep.
