Dear Diary,

It’s been about a month or so since I ran away. The house and this family who barely even knew me have treated me amazing and I am so appreciative of them. I never thought there were people who actually cared about other people, and this is what proved me wrong and I am defiantly happy that it did. I also like the fact that I can read or write whenever I want and without being questioned. Now they might not want to say anything but I can tell they are in shock that I can do these things. Mrs. Rebecca brings me books from the public library when she is out and about. One day when Mrs. Rebecca brought me a book I could tell she wanted to ask me a question so I told her she could. She wanted to know how without ever going to school or anything I could read and write. I explained to her that I was taught lessons and things and she was completely shocked. Mrs. Rebecca went into the kitchen and I asked her if I could help her cook dinner and she was happy to let me.
