Zoe's POV

Nakatayo na naman ako sa balkonahe, nakatingin lang sa madilim na paligid. While Agnes is sleeping, alas dose na kasi ng gabi.

"Why not try to sleep?"

Napatingin ako sa itaas at nakita si Vasilis.

"I did. It's not working." Sagot ko at muling tumingin sa madilim na lupain. Bumuntong hininga ako nang maramdaman kong tumabi sakin si Vasilis.

"Then at least pretend." Sagot nya. "what if someone sees you here and find you weird?" Dagdag nya. Mahina akong natawa.

"Well, i don't care." Sagot ko. At tumingin sa kanya. "Does it bother you?" Tanong ko. Kumunot ang noo nya at sinalubong ang tingin ko.

"What's happening this days, and you can't solve it immediately. Is that why you can't sleep?" Dagdag ko pa. Bumuntong hininga sya at umiwas ng tingin but still facing me.

"Who wouldn't? People will get the wrong idea of me being the cause of everything." Sagot nya. Ngumiti ako ng malumanay kaya napatingin sya sakin, and i saw in his eyes, the window of death. Why do i pity him so much? Simply because it is him, the personification of doom.

"Since when did you consider everyone's thoughts?" Tanong ko. "As far as i know, you don't take everyone's judgement." Dagdag ko. I've observed him from a far.

"Just now. That everything is on me. That everything is a mess." Sagot nya at muling umiwas ng tingin.

"Don't take it all Vasilis. Remember that you are only the President of the student council, not the whole school. Someone is in there, watching, thinking what he might do. Someone who's worth to take the burden. And we are just here to help him." Salita ko. Muli syang tumingin sakin. "Just trust me. Everything is going to be alright. So rest your mind, demigod." Dagdag ko at hindi parin mawala ang malumanay na ngiti sa labi ko.

Umihip ang malamig na hangin sa amin kaya napayakap ako sa sarili ko pero napatigil ako ng hawiin nya ang buhok sa mukha ko hanggang sa dumako ito sa mukha ko. He swiftly pulled me closer and his lips touches mine.

I kissed him back, open-mouthed, and i was brought to realization.

Doom has the warmest touch, even if he is cold.

Doom leaves you breathless in passionate way.

Doom makes you numb passionately.

Doom makes you take another breath and you can't resist him.

People are wrong about doom, except for one thing.

Doom is inevitably passionate.

"Hello!! Earth to Zoe!!" I snapped out when i heard Agnes's voice in my ears. Damn. So loud. Napabuntong hininga Nalang ako at tumingin kay Agnes, tinatawanan lang ako ni Cedric.

"May sinasabi ka Agnes?" tanong ko. Inirapan lang ako ng bruha.

"Yes, kanina pa po. Ang sabi ko, san ka nagpunta kagabi? Nagising ako madaling umaga, napansin kong wala ka sa higaan mo o sa balkonahe." salita nya at nagpatuloy sa pagkain nya. Napatingin naman ako kay Cedric na iba ang pinapahiwatig ng malaking ngisi nya sa labi.

"I.... Ah... I went out in the forest. You know, to do my thing." sagot ko at umiwas ng tingin. Only to meet his eyes, nakita kong kinakausap sya ni Rafaela only to find out na hindi nakikinig ang kausap nya at nang sinundan nya ang tingin ni Vasilis ay sakin napunta ang tingin nya. Ngumiti lang sya at muling binalik sa kasama nag atensyon.
