The afternoon comes quicker than you expect, mainly because you were doing the mission with Dabi until three in the morning.

Right now it's ten in the morning. You're laying naked in your bed, on your back and under the sheets with your also-naked husband draping his arm over your stomach as he snores. The sheets only cover his hips down to his feet, his muscular back exposed. He was out fighting villains until five a.m so it's no surprise that he's tired.

You ball your fingers on the white sheets above your chest as you stare up at the white ceiling.

Last night, the car ride back to your house was silent as Dabi drove. There wasn't anything that need to be said. Your first 'date' with Dabi had been an emotional roller-coaster no doubt. By the time the mission was over you just wanted to go home and get some sleep. The villain is nothing less than confusing; one minute he's dancing with you and about to kiss you, the next he's saying he wants to hurry up and complete his goal of revenge on the number one hero so he doesn't have to speak to you anymore.

You wonder, is it possible that he likes you but something is holding him back from actually admitting it?

From what you know, there are no guys that would dance with a girl if they hated them. There are no guys that would let a girl sleep comfortably on their lap if they never wanted them close. There are definitely no guys that would risk getting caught stealing money, which would mess up their entire life goal, just to pay for a girl's food if they never wanted to speak to them.

But what you're trying to figure out is what's holding him back?

Maybe it's just because he's a villain that doesn't want to seem soft.

But... something in your gut is telling you that isn't the full reason.

That's not the only topic haunting your mind.

You turn on your side to stare at your dresser. On top of it is the note Kami had written with Kenji's number. You were considering calling the number as soon as you got home but something is causing you to be hesitant.

I'll worry about that later.

"Baby." You say into your husband's ear, pushing his arm off of you. He groans as you sit up.

You don't speak again until you're hurrying to pull on a pair of jeans inside your closet.

"I'm going out somewhere okay? I'll be back around twelve."

That should be the time Kami causes a disturbance in the city.

If I come home late it wouldn't matter because he won't be home.

"Mmkay." He whispers. "Stay safe. I'll be here waiting for you."

"Hey Twice." You greet the villain that happily opens the metal door for you.

He chuckles and steps to the side so you can walk into the bar. "Well hello there Shadow. How's it going?"

"Good..."
