Dream POV
Dream's mouth enveloped George's, their lips crashing together hungrily. George leaned up on his toes, kissing Dream back fiercely. Dream held the brunette tight against his body, pouring years of pent-up love into the kiss.
It was a long moment before Dream leaned back. George's face was bright red, his brown eyes stretched wide. Dream smiled, leaning his forehead against George's. Their excited breaths mingled warmly together.
"I love you," Dream whispered. He tucked his nose against George's, locking their faces together like matching puzzle pieces.
His heart shook as George gazed at him with soft mocha eyes. "I love you, too, idiot."
The words sent a bolt through Dream's mind. George... loved him back. Affection and relief spread like warm honey through his veins. This beautiful, perfect person really loved him back.
"Are you crying?" One of George's hands cupped his face. The other traced up and down his back soothingly.
Dream was startled. He hadn't noticed the moisture building in his eyes. Blinking, he watched a tear drop onto George's cheek, sliding down in a shiny trail. George's thumb glided beneath Dream's eye, smudging a second tear away. Dream covered George's hand with his.
"I've loved you for so long," Dream confessed. "You've been the only one I've ever wanted."
George puffed out a breath, surprised. "I... don't understand."
"I..." Dream hesitated. "I promise I will explain everything when you're safe."
"I'm safe now." George tightened his grip on Dream. "My knight is here, isn't he?
Dream was certain his heart melted right then and there. "Always."
George tilted his head, reconnecting their lips. Dream moved his mouth possessively against George's, savoring the brunette's soft pink lips. All he could think was mine. He finally got the only person he'd ever fallen in love with. The boy he'd yearned so long for. The one he knew was his soulmate. And Dream was never going to let him go.
Dream slid his hand from George's, trailing lightly down George's arm. Brushing the soft blue fabric of his sweater, Dream gently slipped his hand through George's hair. Brown strands twined around his slender fingers as he deepened the kiss.
Dream licked George's lips, requesting entry. The brunette's lips parted, and Dream slipped inside eagerly. He loved the way George's body trembled when he swept his tongue around, exploring George's mouth freely.
Their mouths moved together in perfect unison, before George gently nudged Dream's shoulder. Dream pulled back right away, a thin strand of saliva connecting their lips. He felt his own face flush, unable to look away.
"Ah, I'm sorry..." Dream brushed the strand away quickly with his hoodie sleeve. "I, uh, have a hard time controlling myself. Next time just-"
"No, not that. That- That was..." George's face got even redder than Dream's, spreading all the way to his ears. "Anyways, Tommy, he's still in the tunnels."
"What?" Dream froze. He'd assumed the boy was safe, since George didn't seem injured, and the body of the monster he'd saw in the cave didn't appear to have any human blood around it.
"We ran into this girl. She had a gun and took down a monster on her own. She fled when she saw us, but the dumbass ran after her. It was dark and we got separated from each other."
Dream strapped his mask on, pulling his fallen hood back over his dirty blond hair.
"Where did you see him last?"
