DreamXD POV
DreamXD stayed true to his word. Long after his wing healed, he visited George404. What started off as weekly visits quickly turned into daily hangouts. Sapnap sometimes joined them, the three becoming fast friends. Two years had already passed by in a blur.
DreamXD opened his eyes to soft voices. Patches shifted on his lap, purring happily. DreamXD stroked her warm fur gently, turning his head to look around. Someone had pulled a blanket around his shoulders.
"It it probably nothing." George404 emerged from the kitchen. Following him was a god of similar height with fluffy brown hair and purple eyes.
Karl, the god of time, was a close friend of George404's. Turns out DreamXD had been wrong, George404 did have one friend before himself. Karl was often busy, though, making it difficult for the two to see each other. Not only that, but George404 and Karl both lacked the gift of flight, having to travel by other, much slower, methods.
"I don't know, George. It didn't seem..." Karl trailed off when he spot DreamXD. The gentle god's eyes widened. "Ah- I'm sorry. Did we wake you?"
George404 followed Karl's gaze to DreamXD, his heterochromatic eyes softening slightly.
DreamXD shook his head. "How long was I out?"
"Around three hours." George404 replied.
That long? DreamXD scratched Patches's chin, watching as she leaned into his hand. "Oh, hey, Karl. Are you staying?"
"No, thank you." Karl grinned. He was wearing a purple shirt with long blue sleeves and a large spiral across the front. "I only stopped by for a moment, I'm meeting with Sapnap later."
"What the fuck, he didn't invite us." DreamXD pouted.
Karl shrugged apologetically. "Sorry, Dreamie."
He gave George404 a quick hug, waved to DreamXD, and left.
DreamXD winced as Patches stretched, kneading her claws into his thigh. She twitched an ear before jumping off his lap. DreamXD watched in disappointment as the ocelop disappeared into the kitchen.
George404 approached DreamXD. The god of mischief tried not to jump when George404's hands threaded through his hair. Smiling to himself, he leaned into George404's soft touch.
"Your hair is getting long." George404 tugged the dirty blond strands gently. "You might be able to put it in a little bun."
"I have to get it cut." DreamXD agreed.
George404 absentmindedly played with DreamXD's hair.
"What were you and Karl talking about? It sounded serious."
"He said he had some vision of the world ending. Something about a dragon, lots of blood and death. He couldn't tell if it was a nightmare or a premonition, since he'd never had a vision of anything that bad before." George404 reached forward, gathering DreamXD's hair into his hands.
DreamXD hummed as George404 finger-combed his hair, gently scraping the sides of his face under his mask. "Is he okay?"
"I think so." George404 tugged DreamXD's soft hair. A moment later he murmured, "Done."
DreamXD reached back, feeling the small bun on the back of his head, a thin vine holding it on place. He wheezed when he felt tiny flowers in the vine. "Thank you."
George404 simply nodded.
DreamXD's scalp tingled where the forest god had touched him. He leaned against the back of the couch, tilting his head back to study George404's pretty face. Brown hair perfectly framed a face that was beautiful no matter how you looked at it. DreamXD didn't want to admit it, but... he may have formed just a tiny crush on his friend.
