DreamXD POV
Cool air brushed through his feathers as DreamXD blasted another ball of energy at TechnobladeND.
The pig-headed god dodged the attack, adjusting his position on his flying trident.
Tommyinnit flew close to Techno, his bright orange wings contrasting starkly against the blue sky. Flames shot from under Sapnap's feet, holding himself steadily in the air.
DreamXD tucked his wings, diving down as Sapnap raised his hands and shot a stream of fire at the dirty-blond male. The whole point of the game was to knock one of them out of the sky. Dangerous? Yes. Fun? Lots.
Too busy dodging Sapnap's flames, DreamXD didn't notice TechnobladeND's blast of energy. The energy hit DreamXD in his wing, the force of the blast causing him to plummet downwards. Pain shot through his right wing, and he heard a distinct crack.
Uh oh...
"DREAM!" Sapnap yelled, looking ready to dive after him.
"I'll be fine, keep playing!" DreamXD grit his teeth through the pain, his lips flapping in the rushing air. The whipping wind stole his words from him, and he watched through squinted eyes as Sapnap tried and failed to match the speed of his fall. In truth, he was probably about to break every bone in his body.
DreamXD squeezed his eyes shut, bracing for impact. He wanted to cry as the pressure of falling broke his wing further.
He never hit the ground. Soft tendrils wrapped beneath his body, bouncing slightly as he fell onto a net-like hold. He whimpered in pain as his broken wing was gently wrapped with thin strands, carefully preventing it from being jostled.
Opening his eyes, he felt a shock run through his body. DreamXD stared through his mask with wide emerald eyes as a beautiful boy rose to his level. A thick net of roots and vines held DreamXD's body gingerly in the air. The boy was standing on a smaller, firmer net of roots. DreamXD watched in fascination as the roots grew at the boy's command.
He's a forest god, DreamXD realized. The young god stared at him with heterochromatic eyes, one a warm brown, the other a gentle blue. The young god's face was anything gentle, however, looking irritated as he stared daggers at DreamXD.
"Ah... hello." DreamXD shifted uncomfortably on his makeshift net.
"You are an idiot." The pretty brunettte adjusted his mushroom hat as he sighed.
"Thanks for saving my ass." DreamXD grinned despite the young god's attitude.
"I can see why you are the God of mischief."
Oh? So this forest god knew of him? DreamXD felt a trickle of pride. Why wouldn't he be proud? He'd only had to annoy half the god race to gain that reputation.
He put on his best smirk, forgetting the young god couldn't see it. "And you are?"
"George404."
"Thanks for catching me, Georgie." DreamXD moved to sit up, but electric bolts of pain shot from his wing to his shoulder blades. He sucked in a breath, biting his tongue against his cry.
"Your wing is severely broken," George404 murmured, stating the obvious.
DreamXD was startled when the beautiful young god stepped over the net, leaning close to DreamXD's right side. DreamXD followed his gaze, flinching as he took in his injury for the first time. His feathers were scorched black, flecked with scarlet blood. The wing itself hung at an odd angle, clearly bent in half.
