Aannnndddd we are back to the present! How are you guys feeling about DreamXD x George404's backstories?

George POV

George's head throbbed, the memories still settling into his brain. He groaned, releasing his god self's hand to rub his temples. "T-that is a lot..."

Heterochromatic eyes blinked at him, soft with sorrow. George404's gaze flicked back to where the memory of him and DreamXD was still repeating. George copied him, staring at the happy scene with an ache in his chest.

"What happened..." George whispered. "After you returned to your world? The memories cut off after Life and Death sent you back."

It felt weird referring to himself as "you", making George shift his feet uncomfortably.

George404 flinched, biting his lip. "He started killing the entire god race, using them as sacrifices to open cracks in the universe. He was searching for where my soul went... he had no idea I was with him the entire time."

"You were no longer in reach of the living." George repeated Life and Death's words softly.

George404 nodded. "Monsters came through the cracks, and eventually our whole race had been slaughtered. Life and Death decided to use Divine Punishment against him, he'd broken the only two rules we are given, and then some."

"Divine Punishment?" George searched his god self's eyes, noting the traces of guilt lurking in his heterochromatic eyes. His stomach churned, feeling sick.

"The end of the world." George404 looked away. "What you know as the apocalypse."

"What?!" George reeled back, glaring at George404. "You mean-"

"I'm sorry," George404 murmured. "Life and Death do not have the power to take a life, only judge it. So they open the gate to continually allow monsters from the End to invade the real world and do the job for them."

"That is stupid!" George shouted. "What about all the innocents that die from it?"

"Look at what they said about my death," George404 offered. "It does not matter as long as their goals are achieved. The world of the gods was entirely destroyed."

"But why my world? How did DreamXD get here?"

"When Divine Punishment was triggered, he dove into one of the cracks in the universe. That crack brought him here." George404 explained. "He was weakened greatly, and cast a protective shell around himself so that he could sleep and regain strength. As you heard in my memories, the monsters are mindless. They will attack anything, so as such they went after humans."

"Why didn't you let me see this for myself?" George grumbled. Didn't it make more sense for him to get all their memories?

"I... don't want you to see the things he's done." George404's shoulders sagged. "He's just hurt... and it's my fault. I don't want the other me to bear that burden."

"It was Jschlatt who started it," George reminded him.

"Dream never would have...."

George404 didn't finish his sentence, but George could guess. DreamXD never would have done the things he did if his everything hadn't been cruelly taken from him.

"Anyways," George404 cleared his throat. "I spoke with Life and Death not long after my Dream's punishment was announced. They would not listen to me, but I learned I could enter dreams, and they told me about the human world... including the other me."

"So you came to find me?" George questioned. "What do you think I can do? The entire god race couldn't stop him!"

"You're me," George404 stared intently at his human self. "And my Dream will be able to feel where your Dream is, do you really think he won't come to find out why?"
