George POV
One might think happiness cannot be found at the end of the world, but don't they say the end is just the beginning? Just like the sun sets, calling in the dark chill of night, that bright warmth will return, bringing with it newfound strength.
Now, that sun glowed brightly in a person. Sometimes that's all one needs to be happy, to find that light in someone else. A person who will wrap them in warmth, bathed in rays of gentle affection.
That sun was looking at George now, his eyes soft with deep pools of love, stroking his cheek with gentle infatuation. The dirty blond's blue ring was cool against his skin.
It had only been a week since Dream proposed to George, but so much had happened since then. The entire camp had been in uproar when they'd heard about the engagement. It hadn't exactly helped that later that morning, Tommy was the first to notice the rings when Dream and George had barely taken a step out of their cabin.
The blond boy had immediately started yelling, "YOU'RE MARRIED?! WHAT THE FUCK- POGGERS!"
And just like that the whole camp was awake and asking questions. Drista had been particularly offended that she hadn't known about it, threatening to punch her brother. Wilbur and Niki nearly cried, rushing forward for hugs and congratulations. Sapnap almost broke George and Dream's spines in an epic bearhug while demanding best man rights.
Punz, Puffy, and Techno were more calm, simply stating that they weren't surprised. Philza said he was proud of them, and wanted to know how Dream proposed, to which he started telling stories of how he proposed to Wilbur and Tommy's "Momza". Quackity was the one who started shouting about a wedding, quickly drawing everyone into making plans.
George didn't think it was possible for there to be a wedding with so little resources, but the Sleepy Bois were determined to prove him wrong. That was how he stood in front of Dream now, enjoying their last private moment together before the wedding.
"You know you have to take the ring off for later, right?" George placed his hand over Dream's, gently tracing the smooth band.
"Later is not now." Dream caressed George's face with his other hand, cupping his cheeks sweetly.
"You're an idiot." George's breath caught when Dream leaned their foreheads together, leaning up to brush his nose against the dirty blond's.
"Your idiot." Dream reminded him.
"Only mine." George agreed, sliding his hand up Dream's arm, pulling the taller man closer.
Dream smiled, finally connecting their lips. George melted into the kiss, eyes closed, soaking in the heated affection that poured from his lover. Dream's mouth perfectly enveloped his, as though they were made for each other. In a way, they were.
A warm tongue pushed against George's lips, and he tilted his head back, letting Dream slip into his mouth. The dirty blond immediately deepened the kiss, his hands moving to wrap around George, pressing their chests together.
When they finally pulled apart, lips glistening with saliva, George threaded his fingers through Dream's hair. Gazing into those beautiful green eyes, he couldn't deny it. He'd never stop loving this man.
Dream looked ready to lean in again when there was a loud knock on the door.
"CLAY! GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE YOU SAID YOU NEEDED ME FOR SOMETHING." Drista's voice shouted through the door. "CLAAAAAY!"
"Pft." George laughed in Dream's hold. "I think your sister wants you."
"I didn't notice." Dream wheezed, releasing George. One hand trailed lightly away from the brunette's cheek, leaving tingles where their skin touched. "I'll see you later, princess."
