The next day was a Saturday, so everyone slept in past their normal waking up time.
Sarah woke up at around 8:00am for her daily run. She was no longer allowed to go out by herself running, so Mildred got her a treadmill so Sarah could run inside of the house. Sarah quietly got out of bed and got dressed in her running clothes without waking Gellert up. She then made her way into the the main part of the house and got onto her treadmill which was near the back door. She turned it on and started to run on it.
Luzia didn't sleep very well last night, she kept tossing and turning all night. She was doing this because she missed Richard, she was worried about him-she heard a knocking on her window. Part of her hoped it would be Richard, even though that would be impossible. She pulled the curtains out of the way and saw that her owl was there. Luzia opened the window and the owl flew in and landed on the end of her bed.
"Shouldn't you be sleeping? It's day time and you're nocturnal."
The owl hooted as if to disagree with Luzia.
"Oh, alright then, Seen as you are awake, can you help me?"
*Hoot*
Luzia sat on her bed and leaned on her legs while writing a note to Richard which said,
Dear Richard,
Are you ok? I just wanted to tell you that I'm in LA now. Long story short, I'm fine.
-Luzia
Luzia then folded the note into a little piece of paper and attached it onto the owls leg.
"Ok." She whispered to the owl, "Take this to Richard Villarreal, he is in one of the caves in Hogsmeade."
The owl hooted as if it understood and flew out of the open window. Luzia then shut the door and closed the curtains again. She checked the time and it said 8:10am and she'd barely slept at all all night. She let out a sigh, laid down and stared at the ceiling, it was a white ceiling. The walls were white too, basically the whole house was white apart from the sofa, chairs and TV in the living room.
Luzia could hear a noise coming from the living room, at first she thought that it was the washing machine, but then she heard her mother panting, it was the treadmill. She decided that she wanted to stay in her room rather than visit her mum. She knew her mum probably didn't know about Richard being alive and she honestly couldn't be bothered explaining it all to her, after all, her father didn't seem very happy about Richard's relationship with Sarah anyway.
While looking at the ceiling, Luzia wondered how long it would take her owl to deliver the letter to Richard. She obviously knew that Los Angeles was in America and Hogwarts was in Scotland which was over 5,000 miles away, but she hoped her owl wouldn't take too long. She also remembered Richard didn't own anything anymore, so he probably wouldn't be able to even write back to her. This made Luzia sad, the whole reason she wrote to him was so he could still be in contact with her even though they were thousands of miles away, but if he had no paper of pens, then it was all pointless. "I'm such an idiot." She thought to herself. "How could I be so stupid? No wonder I'm single and Johnny hates me."
This made her think of Johnny Dipper for the first time since she left that awkward meeting with Professor McGonagall, Johnny, Vanessa and Liberty with their families in the Great Hall yesterday. It hurt, because she did like Johnny. Yeah, maybe Luzia knew they wouldn't date long-term or last forever and have babies with each other, but she did like him at least a little bit. And if they never got close, Luzia would probably still be obsessed with Richard, even though she still is sort of obsessed with him anyway. Johnny was a good distraction for her; and now he was gone, it felt like the same as when her best friend, Luke started dating her sister, Penelope. Luke and Penelope's relationship only lasted a few months though so Luzia held out hope that 'Janessa' wouldn't last very long either, they are only kids after all. Kids move on and change their minds all the time, so why would being in love be any different?
