My heart is racing, usually he would sit at his desk ignoring me with ear buds in his ears, but today he pushed his desk next to mine for us to work on projects and somehow we managed to get further than the first day. "Raph," my voice low as if I were to speak out of turn I'll be snide. "Could we talk after class?" I swallow my fear not looking at him, continuing my rough draft to keep my calm composure. I knew once I looked at those green eyes I would panic, or melt. Then another pair of green eyes flash into my mind, "Rebel." "Sure we can talk in the library if you want?" His voice caught my attention making me snap my head toward him. His eyes are on me, unsure of what to say I nod my head in confirmation.

"So, what do you want?" He says as we reach the back of the library. His hands are in his joggers, making him look calm. "I know what I did is inexcusable, and that nothing I say is ever going to make you forgive me or give me a second chance. Not that I am asking, but I do want to tell you. I really do like you Raphael. It's just that I will never be right for you. I don't want to admit it, I have way too much baggage and you deserve someone that isn't me. I'll be your worst mistake, and you're too good for me. No, this isn't its not you, it's me. I really do mean I am... damaged." I stopped my rambling too nervous to continue. I admitted too many things, but it's easy to be vulnerable with him. I've seen the many sides of him, I think I at least owe him humility.

Raphael's POV
Her eyes were glued away from me, as if she knew she would chicken out if she looked at me. The air feels tense, I never realize this how she felt about herself. "Doesn't everyone have baggage? Look if you're not lookin' a second chance fine, but I forgive ya'." Reaching out my hand I pull her in, she tenses up before relaxing. I felt her heart racing, although she didn't tell me everything I knew this was difficult for her to do. "Come on, I'm hungry." I say before releasing her. As we make our way to lunch I couldn't help to look back at her. 'I guess I was wrong about you, (y/n). You don't have a mom and dad to go home to, or normal relationships where you dated a guy for a few months then break up. You are a mystery, but' I look at her thinking about the night she saw me, the real me 'you're wrong too, I'm not too good for you, and you're not damaged.' As we sat at her usual table I sat with my brothers. Casey and April look over confused, but not budging to join us.

"Bro, you finally made up with (y/n)." Mikey mentioned as soon as got home. I rolled my eyes, "I'm going out tonight." I say before retreating to my room. 'Maybe goin' on my old rounds would help me think... Good thing I know who I can go to if I get hurt.'
Knocking on Sensei Splinter's door I walk inside. He's sleeping in his bed with an empty tea cup next him. Grabbing the cup, I kneel by him. "Sensei, I know with the footclan gone, there's hasn't been much need for us and that we need to stay safe, but my brothers and I we met someone amazing people in school. I know you're sleeping but I want to believe that there's a future for us. She makes me believe that it's possible, I just hope you'll be well enough to see it." Standing up I place the cup in the sink and go on patrol.

Your POV
Since it's Friday night I knew I had to work. "Hey, pretty lady could I get a shot of Jack." Finishing off with the beer, I give him a shot of Jack Daniels. "Thanks." He winks. I roll my eyes, 'I hate being on bar duty, I rather be dealing or looking out for cheating.' Sadly I can't say anything about my age either or Angel will get in trouble for having a high schooler even though I'm eighteen(or close to it depending on your birthday).
"Mija could you help Julio? He's bringing more drinks in." Angel asked me before running off again to a table where a guy looks like he's about to fight. Shaking my head I quickly put my apron away before rushing to the back happy to get from the creep. "Here let me grab that." I say before grabbing a two boxes out of Julio arms. "Thanks (y/n). Friday nights are the worst." He says before we enter the bar putting the drinks in the fridge.
"Hey, beautiful, I would like another shot." He smiles, he knew I had to give him another round.
"Why don't you help Angel, I think he's going to need the muscle." Julio says out loud for the man to hear. "Thank you." I whisper to him before scurrying away.
