I was upstairs in the gym area grabbing the first aid kit. This area is blocked off from customers and has spare rooms for us in case it was too late for us to go home. This part of the city isn't the safest but drunks tip pretty good. Unfortunately drunks also cause fights that we have to break up. I'm about to head back down when a heard a thud and felt the floor shake a bit. Looking over I see a shell. Quickly making my way over I help them up.
"Crap... uh. Let me help you, there's a table a few feet away from us." I'm not sure how to support this mutants body, he's the biggest one I ever seen.
"Just sit, it should support you." I say. Quickly I began working on his injuries with the first aid kit. "Mija are you okay?" I hear Angel come up but once he sees the mutant, "Oh shit, that looks bad. Alright you help out here I'm gonna calm things down and close early tonight." Angel took the first aid kit from me and made was about to make his way back down. "Angel, no just stay open. I'll take care of him." I tell him knowing we already had too many close calls of people finding out about mutants coming here for help. He nods his head before continuing downstairs.
"Your helping me?" His voice deeper than I expected that it caught me off guard. "I'm guessing you just got lucky." I remark to him before continuing on, "we help mutants, which is why we usually leave that window unlocked all the rooms here are furnished so they can come in and rest or for us to patch up."
"Why?" His green eyes locked onto mine filled with many emotions. He must have a lot people freak out before.
"It's not like it's your fault." I simply say, "shit happens." I add on remembering the cards I've been dealt.
"Was it someone you knew?" He asked I guess in hopes of something that would make sense to him. Cupping his face, "No, I was just raised better than most." Letting his face go I head to a room to get it ready for him.

"This bed should be big enough for you, you can sleep here for the night. If you need anything I'll be in the room with the (f/c) door and the bathroom is the one with the sage green door." I say as I exit the bedroom luckily it wasn't messing in there. He looked at me dumbfounded, like this is some bizarre dream. "What about that guy from earlier?" He pointed out before looking at the stairs. "Oh, Angel he won't mind in fact he opened this floor specifically for you." I smile at the end but his face twisted, "freaks" he scoffed. Grabbing his hands, "Your not a freak, a mutant sure, but it wasn't your fault. I know their have been people that took one look and judged you for all the wrong reasons, but you are not a freak." I commanded as if nothing could change my mind on this. "Your parents wouldn't be upset?" He asked me with curiosity.
I turn to him, "My mom left and my dad... he passed away." I say looking away from him. It's a subject that I'm not comfortable with, thanks to all bullying of  'Wow, not even your mom cared about you.' My anger spiked remembering how everyone treated me differently after all that happened.
"I'm sorry-" he rambled, "Forget it." I cut him off before moving away from him. He follows me into the room. "You think you'll be okay here for the night?" Changing the subject as if nothing happened. I feel his gaze on me, turning I lock onto his bright green eyes. My heart flutters, "his are eyes something else" I'm not sure how much time we stood there staring into each other's eyes. "(Y/n), is everything okay?" Angel broke our trance making me scurry away from the room, "I'll check up on you later!" I huffed out before retreating to my work with Angel.

Raph's POV
"She wasn't scared of me... she even patched up my cuts from the robbery." Looking at my wounds, "Who the hell uses kitchen knife for a robbery?" I mumble out remembering the guy who tried robbing that young man who was leaving work at from what I can tell from the dirty white shirt. "She looks good in that uniform." I couldn't stop looking at her, dropping my heads into my hands as I plopped onto the soft mattress. I feel bad for bringing up her parents, I didn't know, I guess that's one of the reasons she gets short about Foster care. Laying down, I couldn't help but wonder how long did she knew about mutants? Do her friends know too? Who was her first mutant? So many questions swam through my head.

I'm not sure how long I lied there for. "Hey you okay?" Her voice rang from the doorway.
"Yeah, just thinkin' is all." Her eyes studied me before she stalks toward me, how can she make feel so vulnerable every move she made felt so strategic, defensive. Her gentle hands touched my bandages and my skin heats up, "Fuck, why does she have this effect on me?"
"Looks like you stopped bleeding... I think I'll change your bandages so you can sleep with clean ones." Sitting up I allowed her to take off my bandages and clean off the rest of blood off on me.
"You didn't ask me what happened?" I mostly said as I noticed she never once questioned me on what happened or anything personal.
"Not my business to ask, it's up to you to tell me." She began wrapping my cuts. My eyes locked onto her taking in how focused she is to make sure I'm taken care of. How she didn't bug me or freak out about what I look like.
I didn't realize how much I was staring at her, her hands cup my cheeks making my heart race. "You sure you okay? You seem stressed and a little freaked?" Her voice is soft and calm.
"Shouldn't you be that one that's freakin' out?" I pointed out. She smiles and pulls her hands away, "please don't move your hands" I mentally beg hoping to feel her gentle touch on me again.
"Well big guy, I've been doing this for a long time. I guess you could say it's a family side business. Alright, but it's late and you need your rest. She walks away and leaves the door ajar. Laying down, "This is not what I expectin' tonight." Closing my eyes I try to enjoy the softness of the mattress and the warmth of the blankets, but the only thing I had on my mind was her smile, her eyes and her touch.
