Going to my class before lunch I sit in the back. Sadly none of my friends are in this class with me. The rest of the students filled the classroom and left me alone, which I'm perfectly fine with. After elementary school, I learned quickly that not everyone is your friend and not everyone is there to lift you up when you are at your lowest. Erica, Vanessa, and Amy were there and I was there for them, so we stayed in each other's lives.
As I'm waiting for the bell to ring that passing is over, one of the new students walked into the class. My (eye color) eyes locked into his bright green eyes, he paused for a moment before walking toward the back with me.
Must be one of the new guys that I'm hearing about today. Erica wouldn't stop talking about them when a guy in a black polo and glasses walked into her homeroom class with his younger brother, who had on shorts and a normal shirt. She actually took pictures. I reminded myself, trying not to laugh.
The tall boy in a red muscle shirt sat down then slumped into the desk, laying his head into his arms. At least he won't bother me. I concluded when he closed his eyes. The bell rang meaning the teacher closed his door and stood at the front of the room to start the class.
"Good afternoon class. I want to say Welcome back and I hope you all had a good summer." Mr.Torres then began talking about the class rules and what assignments to expect. "Now, I know since you are Seniors, you may have Senioritis or you will be infected later in the year. If you know someone who had me you already know that the only assignment for this class. I will partner you up with another classmate and from this day to the day of finals you will get to know them and make a character description. For those of you who are unsure what I'm asking for..."
Johnny warned me that I'll have to do this assignment. This is why I was hoping for one of my friends to be here. I hope I at least get someone I can get along with.
"Alright, now your partners will be. Bryan and John, Julie and Tyler, Katie and Lily, Robin and Alex, Tomas and Victoria, Xavier and Jeff, (y/n) and Raphael, Tara and Michele, and lastly Carla and David." Once Mr.Torres called out the names he approached me, "Ms.(L/n), I hope you're not like your brother."
Everyone knew Johnny and I, whether from us being their students or the trouble we get into. Knowing Johnny he probably gave Mr.Torres a few headaches. I probably won't be any different in all honesty.
"No, I'm worse." I joked but I said it in a serious face. He simply shook his head and left to his desk to take attendance.
Hearing a desk shift next to me I see Raphael moved his desk. "So, what are we doing?" He asked confused and tired.
I would have rolled my eyes, but I figured since Raphael is new and I'm pretty sure we're all tired. "For our English assignment, we have to partner up and get to know each other, then write a character sheet or description. You would know if you paid attention." I snapped at him slightly. At least I tried holding back.
He rolled his emerald green eyes.
"So, we have to hang out? Great." He mumbles laying his head on his arms.
"Sort of, we can just 'hang out' during class. We don't have to meet up after this or anything." I told him. To be perfectly honest Raphael is attractive. His tone body and beautiful eyes alone would cause Erica's head to explode, but frankly, I've seen his type. The tough guy, that has an attitude. I remember when Amy dated a guy like that. She was heartbroken in the end. He cheated on her and got her cousin pregnant. But not everyone is a cheater... So far no one has proven me wrong. Arguing with myself as Raphael shut his eyes once again. Shrugging my shoulders I let him nap. I'll wake him up in twenty minutes.

The twenty minutes passed and I tapped his arm. Slowly his eyelids opened and he looks at me. "You can't sleep for the whole class you know." I tell him.
"Let's just get this assignment started." He stretched himself in his seat making his muscles flex.
"I'm Raphael, I have three brothers." He shared with me.
"(Y/n) and I have one older brother." I told him. Then it got awkward between us.
"What's your favorite color?" He attempted to continue the conversation.
"(Favorite color)." I simply answer regretting not letting him sleep.
"I like red." He then added before it silent between us once again.
We looked at each other, "Would you like to go back to napping and I'll be here pretending to do work." I suggested as I see everyone else in the room having full-blown conversations.
"Wake me up before lunch I promised to meet my brothers." He said before laying his head down. Relief washes over me, Man, I'm bad at making friends. I say to myself.
Sitting back in my seat I feel my phone vibrate, fishing out my phone I open the group chat.
