3rd POV

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" A mob of students crowds around two bodies on the track field. The school day hasn't started yet. Tanner wanted to prove to his new teammates that he is just as strong as them, especially with Raphael on the team who is undoubtedly the biggest out of all the jocks. He heard all the rumors about (y/n) but his thoughts became 'I can take down a chick... She hasn't caused as much chaos as people said she does... I'll fight (y/n) and prove I'm tough plus I get to take down (y/n) a peg or two. The school will talk about me instead of her.' Tanner's optimism was shoved down to the dirt after he was knocked down by one punch. His lower jaw hurt and his cheek felt swollen, but he wasn't backing down.
He riled her up, pushing her buttons and telling her if she is as 'bad and tough as her older brother to meet him at the track field after school.' What he didn't think (y/n) would do is pull him by the ear and taking him outside right then and there.

"Come on fresh meat is that all you got?" She asked full of anger. She barely had any sweat on her or even a bruise. Which fuels Tanner's anger, outside of the embarrassment that is bubbly in the pit of his stomach. He got up what felt like the tenth time, ready to rush the female that is clearly smaller than him, 'there's no way she can take this.' He thought.
Sadly for Tanner's pride, she got him in a headlock, he's facing the crowd as his body leans right in front of her's. The dirt on his face showed the tears that streamed down from his dark blue eyes. His brown hair is a mess and has grass in it. Then he felt a blow to his rib cage. As (y/n) knees him where she could reach. His body slumped, then came another and another. Tanner knew there will be a nasty bruise tomorrow, and that he was lucky he didn't hear a crack.
"Okay, that's enough!" Someone finally broke up the fight. (Y/n) dropped the boy's body letting him hit the ground. The students that once surrounded the two fighters vanished to their homeroom not wanting to get in trouble.

At the principal's office

(Y/n) sat on the bench outside of the Principal's office. Tanner was the first to enter since he's limping due to the pain on his side and clearly had more punches landed than the senior girl. The (h/c) hair female didn't get a chance to threaten the new student that just graduated middle school, to tell the truth. With her back against the wall, she strained to hear what was being said. The click of a phone is then heard, 'He must have tried to call our parents.' She thought, noting that she may not have a chance to plead her case. The door opens causing (y/n) to sit up straight, before standing up from the bench and enters the office with the brown-haired boy sitting across from the Principal's chair and an empty seat beside him.

(Y/n)'s homeroom

Entering homeroom Donnie notice that everyone at school today saw that fight. He didn't know how it started, but he now knows that she is not a force to reckon with. He saw her smaller body compared to Tanner's taller and leaner form, stop him in his tracks. He was running at full force ready to tackle her to the ground.
Then he took notice of Vanessa who was frantically typing away on her phone. Her honey brown eyes match her twin's eyes, but then they were the almost complete opposite. Her dark curls fall to her shoulders, her caramel skin. Taking a deep breath he walks toward her stopping at the empty seat next to her. "Vanessa, right?" Donnie's voice came out shaky. He wasn't intimidated by her, it's her friend that he is intimidated by.
"Oh, hi Donnie. What's up?" Her slight accent came around the end of her sentence more likely confused about why Donnie was standing by her.
"What happened this morning?" He asked vaguely in hopes that she will understand.
"Oh, the football initiation. Every year the football team gives Freshmen a hard time during training season. If the freshmen want them to stop they need to prove themselves. In short, they have to start and finish a fight with someone. That dumbass happen to pick the wrong fight." She answers rolling her eyes. "Frankly, it's stupid because if they pick the wrong person well, they get slap on the wrist... (Y/n) may not be as lucky." She says jumping every time her phone vibrated to life. Nodding his head and pushing his glasses up Donnie takes his seat processing the information he was given.
"Well, good to see a fight is more important than my lesson." The Spanish teacher started as she walks toward the front of the class, "Of course it was that (l/n) girl." She mumbled as she began writing on the whiteboard for today's lesson. Donnie heard the woman considering he sat in the first row and began wondering what else (y/n) is capable of, and what other mayhem she has started and finished before he and his brother came to this school.
