"Are you serious Rebel? Can't you be a little more careful?" I say as I clean the blood from his arm.
"Old habits die hard." His deep voice answers me. I roll my eyes "Well, tomorrow I'm going to be out. My friend's dad is going to a conference about medical advancements, blah, blah blah."
"Sounds like fun." He sarcastically said.
"We're going to keep Amy company. Her dad is biomedical engineer."
His eyes lock onto mine as I stood up from my previous hunched form. His green hand grabbed my forearm pulling me closer to him. I felt my heart skip a beat. "Want some protection? I could stay hidden." His smirk made my cheeks burn up, "I think I rather decline, since I don't want to carry around a first aid kit." I brought my face closer to his, before patting his head. Turning away from him hoping I didn't look beet red.
"So, I guess it'll be you and your brother going?" He asked.
"Uh, yeah. Gotta support our friends right?" I say to him wondering why he was asking.
"Okay, I guess your brother should be able to protect you." He grinned.
Stepping up to him, "I can take care of myself last I checked." I narrow my eyes at him.
His eyes narrow back in challenge, swiftly he lifts me up. Breaking out of his grip I twist his arm behind his back, but quickly letting go, knowing he would be able to shake me off,then I tackle him down straddling his hips down. "Not bad." He smirks inching closer me, darting my attention to his lips I lean down. It was soft and slow. Then we hear, "Okay now I understand how uncomfortable you get with me and Vanessa." Stumbling off the mutant feeling heat radiate from my face I ball my fist.
"Uhh, I'll see ya' (Y/n)." In an awkward haste Rebel quickly left through the window he entered. Shock took over, unsure if it's from him leaving so quickly or that this is happening right now. Confusion and uncertainty twisted in my stomach making me nervous that it'll be Raphael all over again.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare him off... I just wanted to see if you were ready for tomorrow." I couldn't meet my brother's eyes, I could only nod. Fearing that I may have took things too far.
"Look he was probably embarrassed, don't overthink it." He patted my shoulder gently, something he did to try to bring me back to reality time to time.

"Oh my Goodness!" Erica squealed seeing me in a dress, I roll my eyes knowing she does this every time I wear a dress.
"Guys come on we're going to be late." Amy quickly grabbed the twins arms to drag them to entrance instead of gushing over the fact I'm wearing something girly.
Johnny chuckles to himself, "Every single time."
"No kidding." I added seeing that we should catch up soon before Amy pulls our arms.

After the speeches and awards were given we all sneaked away from the adults and head to the fountains. They never get turned off, so even at night the concrete will start shooting water making small waterfalls for us to wet our feet in and kick around.
"April?" We hear Amy question out loud seeing the red head with none other than Casey.
"Oh, hi." She stood there awkwardly.
However before we could say another thing. Purple dragons captured us, they ambushed us and locked our arms behind our backs.
"Well, look what we got here boys. Intel."
"We could make this easy." He pauses eyeing us to see which he deems the weakest link. "I just need to know about some mutant turtles." My heart sank into a pit. The pit of self doubt, fear and the sickening feeling of uncertainty if they mean me and Johnny or Amy, who is still kept in the dark. Locking eyes with my brother we knew that the purple dragons were probably trying to get mutants to join them for muscle, power or fear. Casey stifled a laugh, "There's no such things as mutants."
"Oh really. Well let's see if they'll save that pretty little thing." The man looked in my direction. 'He knows about Rebel.' Kicking my shoes off I threw the man down to the ground by throwing my body onto the concrete back first. The man groans from the impact not expecting me to fight back. "Hold on little lady. You sure you want to put your friends in danger now." I looked at my friends, even if Johnny breaks free we still have to worry about April and Casey too.
"Cowabunga. Don't worry dudes." We hear before all I see is green.

"Come on!" I tell grabbing Amy's hand as she takes off her heels so we can run. "I called 911!" Vanessa yelled as her body is paratactically bragged behind Johnny stumbling to get a tight grip of her phone.
"What was that?" We hear from Erika I knew Johnny has the same thought as me how the hell are we supposed to explain this.
"Over here!" Johnny yells leading us down an alley. Getting ahead I grab the man hole, what I didn't realize was that I had some help. Looking over my shoulder I meet his green eyes. Feeling my face heat up I shove down the butterflies. "Amy." I reach my arm out crouching near the opening. The widening of her eyes when she saw Rebel holding the metal cover. "Amy, please we may not have time if they're here protecting us." I begged her scared that we may not have time to get away. Her hand grabs mine before gently helping her down, I help the next one down until it was just me and Rebel, "Go, me and my brothers are right behind you." He whisper in my ear, his breath felt warm causing a shiver run down my spine, one quick glance looking at his lips, I leaned forward, his arm wraps around my waist lifting me up he lowers me down into the sewers I see him wink at before he closes the man hole.
"Alright let's go." Johnny say leading everyone down tailing in the back I make sure the purple dragons aren't following us.
"How do you know where you're going?" Casey asked curiously. Johnny stopped making everyone look at us. "We used to live here." I answer, not looking at anyone keeping my eyes back to where we came from hiding the ugly truth that is our past. "Let's keep moving." Johnny voice continue down as he went back to walking down the sewer.

We finally made it to our old spot. Everyone plopped themselves somewhere.
April and Casey looked around the hideout that me and Johnny made before Angel adopted us.
"Do you want to tell us what's going on?" Vanessa crossed her arms. Draggers stabbed through me. "I thought we were past this. You promised us that you wouldn't keep us in the dark anymore, or did you forget that you almost died"
" Vanessa!" I snapped I felt my throat tighten. Swallowing my emotions, "Listen, there's some things that..." "Hey you okay?" His hand was on my waist causing my head to snap at him. I didn't realize I was staring until Johnny answered for me.
"We're fine, but now we gotta explain... well all of this." His voice flattened a bit. I could tell he did it on purpose to get everyone's eyes on him now. Almost everyone's, Casey and April's eyes were hyper focus on me and Rebel. I felt uneasy knowing it's obvious that I like him, it's getting harder to hide it. Taking a small step away to create some distance I turn my direction away from them. "Where are your brothers?" I ask him seeing that it was just him.
"Ya see da thing is we would like all of ya to come with us, cause ya know?" He looked at everyone with eyes full of concern. Nodding in understanding.
