Entering English, I see Raphael isn't there. Sitting down in my desk I began doing some of my homework from my other classes.

Flash back
I peep through the door and see that the mutant is still sleeping. Silently I turn back to my room room and began getting ready for the day. As I walk out the room I walk into him. 'Jeez, morning how are you feeling?' I ask him as I stepped back. He looks down at me still looking a little awestruck. 'You didn't hit your head did you?' My voice rang out with concern that made him kneel down to my level. 'No, just still a little shocked by this.' He reaches out to me but pulls away, as gently as possible I place my hands onto one of his forearm. 'It's okay. I'm not scared. Listen I have to go to school, but my brother Johnny is going to check up on you. Once he does, he'll give you everything you might need and from there it'll be up to you if you stay or leave.' I give him a small smile before walking away.

Looking at the desk next to me, guilt floods me remembering how I kissed him, and then how I hurt him. I never wanted to hurt him, but I had to protect myself what if he hurt me like he did. 'I need to talk to someone. I want to make things right.' Finishing up the last of my homework I went straight to the library instead. 'I'll worry about Raphael once he's back, for now I need to make sure I take care of the mutant properly if he comes by again.' The bell rings signaling lunch has started even though I walked out English despite Mr.Torres request for to stay.

After school came and I rushed to the casino. Heading up stairs I peep inside the room. It was empty, "Damn." I mumble before hearing a click snapping my head I see he was in the bathroom. "Oh, uh, thought you would have left." I say as his eyes lock with mine. "I figure I would wait for you to give a clean bill of health." His hand reaches for the back of his head. Nodding my head at him he enters the room, sitting on the bed he noticed some books in my hand. "You read medical and animal books?" Putting down the books "Hold that thought." Rushing to the supply closet I grab all my things, "Like I said we've been doing this for a while which also means I've been patching up mutants for awhile. This might feel cold." I say as I put the stethoscope onto to his chest. His heart is little rapid but I leave the cause due to the weird situation, moving it to other side, "Take a big breath." Listening to his lungs, didn't sound like there was any damage to them.
"How was, uh school?" He then asked when I stood up. I paused for moment, I think this the first mutant to ever ask me that.
"Um the usual I guess..." I trail off.
"You sure about that?" He crosses his huge arms across his broad chest.
"Well, I do want advice... there was this guy. We didn't get along all to well, but with time I started liking him. Anyways we got close, and I shut him down. I don't mean I hurt his feelings, I mean I destroyed them and then lit them on fire. I-"

Raph's POV

She paused and bit the side of her cheek. She was talking about me, my rage spiked remembering how when school started again she pretended like I didn't exist and when I finally got us alone to ask her why. "I didn't want to hurt him. It's just that. You ever trusted and loved someone only to have them-" she trails off again. The way she was trying get away from me, the way she told me I was nothing more than a one night stand. A tear landed on me, "I dated someone before, he was hot headed, confident and not stupid. I don't know why, but after almost dating for 3 years he hurt me, I mean physically hurt me. And this guy he's hot headed, confident and well also not stupid. They're completely different but at the same time, I just don't want him to hate me because of my stupidity." She continues my exam by grabbing something to clean my wounds and possibly bandage me up again. I sat there confused.
The way she kept everyone away, even her friends are at arms length. I noticed it when one of the guys at school tried cornering her. She broke his arm and spat in his face before storming away only to act like nothing happened.
"I see you have a type?" I tease her. She stopped what she was doing, "Good thing I am also not stupid, but let him cool down, he probably won't hate you forever and then try your best to apologize. None of that I'm sorry crap, but actually apologize for the way you reacted." She pauses like she thought of it before. Thinking back on it she probably tried to but instead I called her a bitch.
She sighs before removing my bandages. "Thought so, you have a quick healing ability." She removes the rest without having to reapply.
"I'm guessin' not all mutants have it?"
"Nope, some have abilities like, armored skin, spiting acid, but not all." She grabbed a book, "Do you mind giving me your name?" She looks at me with glass eyes, but she holds a friendly smile. "You can call me, Rebel, or you know whatever you want." I say re-evaluating my fake name. Her eyes look down before writing down some things.
"So am I clear to go Doc?" I ask her as she puts some things away in a tool box. Her hips sway lightly as she walked closer to me. "Rebel, huh, you live up to that name I'm assuming. Anyways, you're good to, but anytime you want feel free stop by, you know in case your rebellious ways get you into trouble again." She giggle slightly.
I smile at her, "Thanks. I just might become a regular, especially when I can get patched up." I say to her.
"Well, I got to work tonight feel free to stay or leave, but I would suggest leaving before 9pm or after 1am." She leaves the room closing the door behind her.
I never seen this side of her, "is she always this honest with mutants? Or just because she doesn't see us as friends just two people who know each other because I get hurt and she fixes me up leavin' no risk of her friends seeing how vulnerable she is. My phone vibrated for the hundredth time today breaking me away from my thoughts seeing it was Donnie I answered the phone, "Hey Don, tell Leo that I'm leaving soon." Before my brother could say anything else I hung up.
