Raphael's POV
My brothers and I weren't planning on heading out tonight, but April asked us to follow her in case anyone tried kidnapping her dad again. I convinced (y/n) to have me nearby to protect her she rolled her eyes but agreed. Now here we are after explaining to my brothers that I used a fake name and that (y/n) and Johnny know about me and well that they know about mutants in general. "So how do you know our brother?" Leo glared at (y/n). The dress she was wearing now wet, and filthy without a second guess I pass her one of my giant jackets for her.
"Um, he kinda found refuge at one of our mutant havens. I happened to be there." She looked nervous clutching the hoodie close to her body.
"You know about mutants huh?" He continued his glare unwavering.
"Uh yea Johnny and I were raised to help mutants. Not really sure how our dad was involved..." her voice lowered. I never knew what happened to her dad. It always seemed like a sensitive topic. I tried bringing up her mom once. That was a mistake. Her rage spiked and Johnny had to calm her down but he told me to stay away from her for a few days. Even at school she wouldn't talk to anyone until she'd calmed down.
He looked at her quizzically before changing his stare toward her brother.
"Um excuse me, but..." Erica voice was shaking as she looked at us uncertainty surround her. Looking at my youngest brother I saw the sadness in his eyes. To see the person you care deeply about, be afraid of you.
Leo sighs, "Sorry, I'm Levi. These are my brothers. Rebel," he says my fake name through gritted teeth "is by you friend wearing his jacket." I felt my face heat up seeing (y/n) in my hoodie. "This is my brother Domino." He points at Donnie as he waved but avoids Amy's direction, unlike the twin sister's her eyes held no fear, just confusion as she looks at (y/n).
"Then our youngest Myles." Mikey quickly switched from his previous heart ache to his usual upbeat self. "Hey, dudes. Sorry about scaring you guys. We were just trying to protect ya'." He flexed his arms smiling a small goofy smile.
"So, let me get this straight," April calm demeanor was clouded by her annoyance toward (y/n), "You know about mutants. Your friends with, Rebel? And now here we are in the sewers because the purple dragons wanted you to tell them where they are?" Her eyes met mine when she said 'Rebel' I know I would have to answer April and Casey's questions, but until then hopefully they can go along with not knowing about us and our fake names. I look at (y/n) her arms wrapping around her body. "Look we'll escort you all home if you would like to stay for a bit and clean up you can." Leo told them before getting up from the sofa and heading to his room.
"Uh, for obvious reasons our brother isn't keen on having people know about us." Donnie explains to them, "Well whenever you're ready please don't hesitate to let us know, we'll be more than happy to escort you home." He smiles looking more towards Amy.
"Actually I have some questions if you don't mind me asking, also I would like to clean up." Her steps were small but she stood next to him. She's not the tallest girl but Donnie towers over her even more than before.
Vanessa grabs Johnny's hand before she marches just outside of our home.
"Do you want to use the bathroom or anything?" Mikey asks Erika with hope filled eyes. She looks at him before nodding tears were streaming down her face, (y/n)'s body stepped forward but Erika walked away from her then asking Mikey where's the bathroom.

I dropped (y/n) and Johnny, after Erika ignored (y/n) she's hasn't said a word in fact after she changed out her dress leaving only my hoodie on her body which honestly made me feel some things. Her brother went inside as I still carry his sister in my arms. "Want me to stay tonight? I'm pretty sure my brother is waiting to give me hell anyway." I ask her, she simply nodded following her brother steps we enter her home through the fire escape.

Next Morning

I left as soon as I woke up leaving a note for (y/n) I knew I couldn't hide from my brothers and April and Casey forever school would come back around again forcing me to face them soon.
"Sorry, uh, (y/n) wanted me to stay with her." I explain seeing my brothers and our friends waiting for me in the living room.
"So are you and (y/n) dating?" Casey smirks with a wink.
"No, we're just friends besides I'm a mutant, just cause she accepting of me don't mean she likes me." I said out loud. It hurt to say but it was the truth we kissed once and since then her brother has been watching us like a hawk, only for him to leave us alone. I'm still trying to figure if he's okay with me possibly being with (y/n).
"Ha, accepting she was basically all over you. Leaning into every touch, and barely leaving an inch of space between the two of you and then she asked you to stay the night?" April pointed out making Casey laugh. "Wow who would have thought bad ass (y/n) knew about mutants, and used to live in the sewers." This cause all of us to look at Casey like he just grew a second head.
April smacked Casey, "Before 'Rebel' found us and brought us here. (Y/n) admitted that they live down here. I'm assuming it was before they were adopted." April explained to us. Leo stood up, "Where is it?"
"We're not goin'" I say with my arms crossed. "They've been through enough last night and they don't need you fearless snooping around into their past." I challenge my older brother.
"Fine, but I still don't like her." He says before pushing past me.
Mikey speaks up, "Do you think that Erika will accept me like (y/n) does?" He's been down since last night he got to spend time with her, but let's face it he still had to lie about who he is not to mention he couldn't do all the things he wanted to like comfort her and hold her. From what I understand they texted last night and he's going over to her place today, same goes for Donnie. Sighing, "Are we done here? I rather be with-" I stopped myself from finishing that sentence.
"Go be with your girlfriend." Casey teased. "She's not my girlfriend!" I grunted before leaving to see (y/n). "Before you leave, her friend Vanessa, mentioned that she almost died before too... I'm not saying this to scare you away from her, but I am saying that she has baggage deeper than we thought." Casey tells me, his voice was serious which is unusual for him, "So do I." Is all I can manage to say before leaving.
