The rest of dinner was full of laughs, the two fell back into their old ways, teasing each other, telling each other about everything they missed in the last few years. It felt like no time had passed.

"Promise you'll watch it?" Drew held up his pinkie as the two now stood outside of the restaurant about to part ways for the night.

"Promise," Lili smiled, interlocking her pinkie with his, "But if it sucks I'll just lie"

"Uh, ow!" Drew said dramatically putting his hand to his chest, making Lili laugh.

"I'll talk to you later, Starkey," Lili waved as she started to walk towards her car.

"See you later, Mathews!" he smiled, Lili smiled to herself.

Lili got into her car, a smile planted on her face as she drove to Jacob's apartment.

She didn't realize how much she had missed Drew, over time she had just kind of forgotten about their friendship, like it got filled away in her mind as other things became more important.

A half hour or more later, thanks LA traffic, Lili made it to Jacob's apartment.

Lili always felt the need to knock on his door, as if she had never been there but she was there almost every other night.

"Hey," Jacob sounded unimpressed when he opened the door, a towel around his waist, hair wet.

"Hi," Lili smiled following him into the apartment, the door shutting behind her.

"Where were you?" Jacob asked as Lili's phone made a noise in her pocket.

"Uhm out with a friend," Lili mumbled reaching for her phone.

"What friend?" Jacob asked, Lili still looking at her phone, sliding her finger across the screen to see the text.

"An old friend from college," Lili was half listening, eyes focused on her phone.

"Where'd you go?"

Lili finally looked up at Jacob who was leaning against the wall.

"Nobu, why?" Lili locked her phone sliding it back into her pocket.

"Do I know this friend?" Jacob crossed his arms over his chest.

"Probably, I don't know, can we just watch a movie and chill?"

Jacob paused for a second.

"How did you afford Nobu?"

Jacob was the successful one in this relationship, he had brand deals, been on a four seasons of a Netflix show while the last notable thing Lili had done was be girl number two in an episode of CSI.
