The next day Lili went through the motions, still thinking about the feeling of Drew's hand on her waist, his lips on her cheek. If it had been anyone else she would of never thought twice about it, but it being Drew made her mind race.

manhattan beach at 12 tomorrow?lils
sure, i'll meet you there :)lilichase posted a story
Lili laid on her beach towel book in hand, reading, Drew sitting beside her with his own book in hand, kids playing volleyball around them, families chatting, wash crashing against the sand.
Usually when Lili was around Drew she felt relaxed, like she just hanging with a sibling but this time she was tense and hyper aware of every little thing she was doing.
When they had first gotten there she took ten minutes to figure out how to lay down and not look like a dead fish.
"Hey, you wanna go grab food in a minute?" Drew looked down at Lili, she shaded her eyes and looked up at him, nodding.
"Let me just finish this chapter," Lili smiled, turning back to her book.
A little while later they were standing in line at a local cafe on the boardwalk. Lili stood reading the chalkboard menu, Drew right behind her.
"What do you think you're gonna get?" Drew asked putting his hands on Lili's shoulders, giving them a slight squeeze, his thumbs slightly rubbing the skin under her hair, making Lili freeze.
"Uhm I was thinking about the buffalo chicken wrap," Lili tried to let herself relax, she looked up at Drew, "You?"
"The ruben, ooo, or the turkey club," he kept reading the menu, hands still on Lili's shoulders.
The person in front of them took a step up to order, Lili taking a big step toward, slipping from Drew's hands.
They ordered and took a seat out front of the cafe, "You want my pickle?"
Lili looked up, smiling, "Yes!"
Drew smiled handing her the pickle, which Lili gladly took and bit into.
Lunch was chill, Lili didn't feel as tense but the thought of Drew's hands on her shoulders still had her mind slightly racing, it wasn't like they weren't touchy before but it was just weird this time and she couldn't figure out why.
