"Hi," Drew's voice came through Lili's speaker making a smile grow on her face.

"Hi," she looked out the window of the hospital, her Uncle had gone out to get them all food, her Mama asleep.

"How is she?"

"Uhm good I guess, they think they found some cancer when they did the x-ray," Lili's voice was low trying to be quiet.

"Oh," Drew wasn't sure how to react, he knew about Ansley but they never really talked about it because Lili hated talking about it.

"We'll be fine though, uhm I have to head back to New York tomorrow though," Lili sighed.

"Are you gonna be okay?"

"I'll be fine," she looked over at her mom, her free hand playing with the charms laying around her neck.

"I can come out if you want," he offered.

"Uhm no, it's okay, you have your own stuff to do, I'll be good," she sounded more like she was persuading herself then him.

"Wait what about the dog she just got?"

"She's gonna come with me tomorrow, after Jay comes back with food I'll head to the house and get her stuff together," Lili explained the plan they had come up with earlier when the doctors said they'd keep Becca here a few days for testing.

"Is Jay staying with her?" Drew asked.

"Yeah he's able to do work on his computer here, so he'll be staying at the house for a bit"

"That's good"

"Yeah makes me feel good knowing he's here"

"If you need something, call me okay?"

"I will," Lili nodded, "I love you"

"I love you, keep me updated"

"I will"

They ended the call and Lili went back to staring out the window analyzing the city she grew up in. The tall buildings out near downtown, the shorter ones closer to her childhood home that she could identify as the Taco Bell she used to go to in high school after football games, the grocery store she once worked at and the hair salon she had always gone to.
