9) Breaking up...

Some days passed and you guessed it, nothing had changed. Jimin still got home late although he did get home one hour earlier it was still too late for N. The fights didn't stop either, they would literally fight on a daily because they were both too stressed to do anything else.

Jimin did talk to his boss but phones were still not allowed, and he was starting to work those extra hours really soon so who knows what's going to happen...

And as the days passed yet again, the fights continued, the late hours continued and they both knew they couldn't keep doing this for much longer... And so did N's best friend. N would cry every day because she felt so bad, and Jimin didn't know what to do anymore because everything was falling apart. He even started secretly drinking every night after their daily fight just to cope with all the stress...

A week had now passed and since Jimin and N still hadn't broken up, something needed to be done. The only thing that could make N break up with him... a simple but extremely powerful lie.

It was 12 AM and Jimin finally got home! N was sitting on the couch and she had obviously been crying, but she hurried to wipe the tears away because she didn't want Jimin to know.

She didn't even bother to get up and greet him anymore, she just sat down and waited until he came towards the couch so they could talk which would only escalate into a fight anyways.

N: "So you finally decided to come home?"
Jimin: "Please...not right now"
N: "I tried calling you today, multiple times actually"
Jimin: "Oh...I'm really sorry... I've tried everything but my boss still doesn't allow us to use our phones... Did anything happen? Are you okay?"
N: "Yes something did happen but it's not like you care anyways, and no I'm not okay"
Jimin: "Don't say that...you know I care so much about you, will you please tell me what happened?"
N: "No, it doesn't matter, I fixed it myself"
Jimin: "Okay..." he said as it became silent.

The last thing he wanted right now was to argue with her which is why he didn't even try to ask her to explain again. Something was clearly wrong with N though and Jimin obviously felt that. The way she had been talking to him recently was concerning and he couldn't help but worry about her...

Jimin: "So...how are you feeling?"
N: "Fine"
Jimin: "Okay...it's late, we should probably sleep soon"
N: "I'm not tired"
Jimin: "But you still have to sleep, for yourself and for the baby...and the past week you've barely been sleeping so..."
N: "So what?"
Jimin: "Well you're not sleeping enough... or eating enough"
N: "How would you know? You clearly don't care about me anymore!" she said as she suddenly started crying.

All of her emotions had been building up and she couldn't take it anymore, she was SO close to reaching her breaking point...

Jimin: "Stop saying that, of course I care about you! Don't you think I've noticed how you've been acting recently?! You can't keep doing that to yourself anymore, you NEED to take better care of yourself before it gets worse okay? I'm worried about you"
N: "You literally care more about your work than you care about me! So stop telling me what to do, I can take care of myself!!" she yelled while trying to manage the tears.

He was right though, she had been really stressed and depressed recently and if she made all those bad things a habit then who knows how that could end out...?

Jimin: "You know that's not true! I'm working so fucking hard just for you, just so I can take care of you! So STOP saying I don't care about you! And you know what? That's the thing, you CAN'T take care of yourself! It's really important that you sleep more, eat more, rest more and all that, you need to do that for yourself AND for the baby and you can barely do it for yourself!"
N: "Then stop taking care of me if you hate it so much! And STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!!!"
Jimin: "Someone needs to tell you"
N: "You know what?! My best friend keeps telling me to never let you control me, I should've listened to her!"
Jimin: "What is that supposed to mean?! You think I'm controlling??"
N: "That's not what I said"
Jimin: "Then why are you suddenly telling me that?!" he yelled but N didn't answer, she just looked away.
