8) What now?

So, the following day passed pretty quickly and N was meeting up with her bestie to update her on the situation. They were meeting up at the same cafe as yesterday as they both honestly lived for the coffee they got yesterday loool. But anyways, N had to update her bestie.

Bff: "You told him you're pregnant right?"
N: "Yes..."
Bff: "So how did he take it?"
N: "I think he already expected it, like he was already treating me like I was pregnant but like, right now the last thing we want is kids and I can tell he feels that way but he was still nice about it"
Bff: "So he was faking it???"
N: "I didn't say that, I'm just saying that because of our financial situation and because I'm still in school, having kids right now would really not be ideal but he was really nice about it even though it's not what we want right now"
Bff: "Okay...but like, what about his working schedule? It's almost 4 PM, is he coming home then or..?? Like what did you get out of him?"
N: "Well...honestly I don't know what to think because he literally started talking about that he would ask for extra hours at work and-"
Bff: "Shut the f up! He did not!! So that's his way of taking care of his pregnant girlfriend?! To leave her alone for even longer?! Come on!"
N: "I don't know...he told me he wanted to work more now and then when it started to get hard for me with the pregnancy he could work less because he worked more at the beginning"
Bff: "Oh come on, you really buy that crap? He probably only said that because his other relationship is falling apart and he needs to be with that slut some extra hours!! Literally, he could still work less without having to work more!"
N: "Actually he couldn't... He literally takes care of both of us, he can't work less without working those hours another time..."
Bff: "Then like... I don't know, I guess it's kinda sweet then, that he like thought about the future or whatever, but what if something pregnancy related happened to you right now?! Then you would be alone"
N: "I asked him if he could at least let me call him while he's at work but he clearly didn't want that, he just told me he would talk to his boss about it but I already know his boss wouldn't allow it so..."
Bff: "So you literally have no way of contacting him until he gets home?! What if you literally had to give birth or some crazy shit like that?!! And he's probably not even asking his boss!!"
N: "I don't know what to think... we also had a fight... he kept asking about when we got drunk and like I don't know what happened but we started fighting"
Bff: "Really?? You had a fight too..? Damn... I'm sorry you had to go through that... Who started it and did you cry?"
N: "I don't know what happened... suddenly we were just arguing and I couldn't take it anymore so I went into our bedroom to cry..."
Bff: "Oh my god... N I'm so sorry... Jimin literally made you, his pregnant sensitive girlfriend, cry from a fight, what does that say about him? This pregnancy crap was supposed to stop the fights but he literally still fights with you when he's supposed to take care of you! He probably just left you alone to cry..."
N: "We both got mad at each other, it wasn't only him... but he came into the room about 10 minutes later and-"
Bff: "That's still 10 minutes you had to suffer alone because he didn't want to comfort you!"
N: "I wanted to be alone though... and he knew that, that's why he waited but we kinda had a deep conversation and he started talking about how I deserve better...and how it's all his fault and how he's hurting me and stuff like that..."
Bff: "Damn... well at least he knows that he's messing up though, and he isn't wrong girl, you DO deserve better than him. I know you love him, but he's not good for you or your mental health at all! I mean look at you, we're literally meeting up to talk about how bad he treats you and how he's probably cheating on you yet you still love him..?? Like seriously, you need to think about yourself too, and if he told you all that then he's probably reaching his breaking point too... so think about him too"
N: "But the thing is... I don't want anyone else than him, there isn't anyone 'better' than him for me"
Bff: "You're only saying that because you haven't tried better though, imagine having a boyfriend who doesn't work until late, who's always there for you, who never fights with you, who takes you out more than like once a month, and the list goes on forever"
N: "But I don't want that"
Bff: "You don't want someone who's there for you all the time? Someone who never fights with you?"
N: "I mean... Jimin and I have been together for almost 3 years, our relationship was like that once"
Bff: "But it's not anymore"
N: "No, but all couples go through bad phases"
Bff: "No N, that's the thing, not all couples fight and not all couples end up like that. You NEED to think about yourself, and Jimin too. Why do you think he told you that you deserve better? That literally means he's going to break up with you soon"
N: "You really think...he.."
Bff: "Yes N, if you don't end it soon he will. I've been through it all and you know how sad I was"
N: "Can we please talk about something else?"
Bff: "Talking about something else doesn't make your relationship better. He thinks you're pregnant, and you were supposed to get your period like about 3 weeks ago, so you're technically 3 weeks pregnant and probably a couple of days maybe even weeks before that. You're literally technically one month pregnant and he still treats you like nothing's changed! I seriously don't understand you N"
N: "I guess you're right..."
Bff: "Continue the lie until the end of the week, then you'll probably end up having enough. Imagine if it was real and he wasn't there for you! He's literally cheating on you right now"
N: "Stop... I'll think about it..." she said as they continued to talk about the topic.

Clearly N's best friend had something against Jimin because she really wanted them to break up, but she did have an ex boyfriend cheat on her so she was really scared that N would get hurt too. Even though Jimin is DEFINITELY NOT cheating on N, but they're right about one thing though, both Jimin and N were stressed as fuck and they were both close to reaching their breaking point. Maybe a break was actually just all they would need?
