You could light up the dark, You could show the world your face You could run away to a place where the stars don't know you And you have no name You could walk Right through the fire, Feel the poison Of those strong, hateful words, But keep dancing Across the sky Yes, I know, Your heart may crumble, The world may shake, Your shadow might become swallowed up In the deepest depths But the sun will shine on, The flowers will still bloom The midnight magic Of a thousand souls Breathing in and out The same rhythm Seems to set this life aglow And all the ones Who came before you Will bow their heads and know, Come lightning, come thunder, come waves that crash you into the rocky shores, There's a light, Dazzling and strong Let's reach For it now Both of us, as one Time runs together like beads on a string, Words come in and out, Disappear Strike a match And reveal the hidden truth Just below the surface 🌸🌸🌸🌸 Two things: one, I originally wrote this poem in cursive so I'm includ ing a picture of that, and two, this poem was very soothing to write.
