The lift door closed and everything went black. A few minutes later, the power kicked in and we could feel the lift going up. "Jay said the gem is on the top floor and we know it's going to be highly protected," I said.
"So, we need to be prepared and stick together" Luka said.
"Our priority is to protect Autumn and distract the hardlings long enough for her to destroy the dream gem," Aiden added. I don't know what's going to be waiting for us but I'm ready. I know this is the right thing to do. There's no going back. I have to do this. It may not be what I want but it's what I have to do. I destroy the dream gem and everything goes back to normal. Everyone will go back to their loving families and I'll be dead. I can't do this. I can't lose my family again. No. I have to. This is what's right.
