I managed to talk to Jesse early in the morning concerning hiring her, since working with students was very unpredictable. Olivia could come to work every day and that was the main goal, and Jesse understood that. Therefore, he hired her on the spot, over the phone. "I hope to see you today," he said as he ended the call.

I had an idea of baking some cupcakes for Jesse's match. Playfully, I used four different flavours for twelve cupcakes, namely: Banana, caramel, lemon and chocolate. With exciting news, I called Olivia and told her about the great news. After a while, she was at my doorstep. I took her to work and she changed into her uniform. "Babes, I don't know how to repay you for this," she cried as she pulled me into a hug.

I showed her around and soon after, we began work. She looked cute and was nice to all the customers as she served. Secretly, I just couldn't wait for work to be over so I go watch Jesse's game.

As I was in the kitchen, Olivia rushed in with her tray. "You will not believe who's here," she joyfully said.

"Who?"

"Dr. Jamal."

My eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Here?" I asked.

"Yes, that's what I just said."

I went to take a sneak peak and he was really in the restaurant. Wow. "Go serve him," I told Olivia.

"You don't want to?"

I shook my head as I checked my watch and it was almost time to close. Olivia went out and got his order as I continued talking to the chef. Within no time, it was time to go and I really wanted to arrive to the field early before the game begins. I changed and clothing and waved Olivia goodbye as I had told her earlier about my plans but before I could reach the door, Dr. Jamal stopped me when he called my name.

He stood up from his table and walked towards me. "What are you doing here?" He asked with a smile.

"What are you doing here?" I repeated as I tried to play him off.

"Obviously this is a restaurant and I came to grab something to eat," he answered.

I looked back at his table and he had a female friend with him. "We can talk later. I have somewhere to be and you have someone waiting for you," I told him, hoping that he agrees.

"Cool, see you later?"

I just smiled and opened the door as I ran home. Took a quick shower, wore a baggy but comfortable hoodie because it was a bit cold and some jeans. I didn't forget my box of cupcakes as I put it in my backpack. A few moments later, I had arrived at the field and it looked empty. Was I too early?

I entered and saw a few people seated and a few players from Jesse's team, leaving the field. Jesse was really happy about this game. Win or lose, I know he will have fun either way. Anyone would be stoked to take home the gold, but one can't have it both ways.

I was really hoping to see Jesse before the game but that didn't happen. As I sat in the front row, when the game began and the teams started running to the field, I spotted Jesse. A smile decorated my face as the crowd stood up to cheer with myself included.

The game began as I took my seat. Throughout half of the game, there was a group that was seated a few seats behind me but it was making noise. Instead of concentrating on the game, their voices were taking over our thoughts. Full of laughter and a lot of talk, it was no longer about the game. I put on my earphones as I sat back and enjoyed the game.

They played really good. I couldn't help but notice skilled Jesse was as the quarterback. The practise sessions really paid off. When it was half time, they took a break. I looked down at my bag to check on the cupcakes, when people took some time to refresh themselves. "You came."
