A Christmas Miracle

Chapter 22

Aloha Hawaii

Finally after five hours of being stuck in a plane that was bouncing up and down we land Hawaii International Airport.

We exit the plane and head into the main area. It is so pretty. There is palm trees outside and a big sandy beach leading up to the ocean.

"I can't wait to grab our bags and unpack".

"Uh oh".

"Cameron did you grab the carry on bags".

"Umm no I thought you had those".

"No Ill go get them now I guess".

"Ok ill be waiting right here". I say sitting down on the bench.

"Ok ill be back soon".

"Ok".

A lady about the same age as me comes and sits right next to me.

"Hello". She says.

"Hi".

"Are you here for a vacation".

"Yea my husband surprised me with this but i wasn't sure if I would go because I am pregnant'.

"Oh well you'll love it here. How many kids are you having".

"Two, twins. What about you".

" just the one I couldn't imagine having two, must be hard".

"It's not that bad but my back is really sore so this vacation I am just going to relax".

" that's always nice".

"Yea I haven't relaxed in forever because I found out I was pregnant so I am going crazy with that, my dad has a brain tumour and I had work but i am on maternity leave".

"I know how you feel. My husband is serving in the war so I am all alone".

"Oh my gosh! I feel so bad for you".

"It's sad but I am kind of use to him not being around, I just hope that he will come home for the birth of his child".

"How far into it are you"

"Thirty six week mark today so anyway now... i hope. How far into it are you".

"Umm I think about twenty eight or nine weeks. Something like that".

"Oh well I gotta go pick up my daughter from school maybe ill see you sometime again".

"Yea nice talking to you. Bye"

"Bye".

I get up and see Cameron walking through the gate with his hands full of our bags.

"Here cam let me grab something".

"I'm good".

"Are you sure and why do we have so many bags".

" I grabbed the suitcases too".

"Why you know I could have helped".

"Well I thought that i could have carried them all".

"Cam just ask for help even though I'm pregnant I am sure I could grab something".

"Ok then here take this bag". He says handing it to me.

"Thanks".

We walk through the airport and finally we find the exit.

"Ok we need a taxi cam".

"Yea I know".

"Found one" I says pointing to the tiny yellow car parked across the street.

I run across the street with Cameron following behind me. I knock on the window and he rolls it down.

"What do you want". He yells.

"Can you give us a ride please".

"To where!"

"Umm cam where is it".

"621 coral place".

"Fine hop in".

Cameron places the bags in the back of the trunk and I hop in.

"Do you have any cash missy".

" yea why".

"Because your pregnant I need to charge you extra".

"You've got to be kidding me. I am pregnant so what I would like to see you carry two babies around for thirty weeks".

"I'm not a damn girl".

Cam hops into the car and sits down.

"Cam lets go we are walking to the hotel".

"Wait walking, holly your pregnant you won't make it that far".

"I know but I am not staying in this car with that freak".

"Yes I'm the freak carrying two babies". He yells.

"Cam lets go".i say hopping out of the car.
