You Won't Believe It

I sink down to my knees holding the little box of tampons.

My period was a whole week late.

"no this can't be happening to me no no no".

"CAMERON".

I hear Cameron coming up the stairs. He walks into the washroom and looks at me.

"Holly whats wrong".

He sits down next to me as I hand him the box.

"oh no".

"yea Cameron this can't be happening".

"it's ok Holly trust me we'll get through this together and I will never leave you".

Cameron hugs me and try's to calm me down

"Holly it's ok it's ok".

He helps me off the floor and walks me downstairs.

"are you ready to go".

"yea I am".

"ok then let's go honey".

Cameron and I walk into our car. I sit down in the Passenger seat as Cameron drives.

"Cameron what if we aren't ready".

"we will never know if we are ready until it happens".

"this is all to much to handle.

"I know I know but it's ok".

We pull up to the doctors office and Cameron helps me up.

"are you ready".

"yea are you".

"yea".

"well then lets go in Cameron".

We walk inside and sit in the waiting room. I feel my heart pounding in my chest.

"I am so nervous".

"why we get to see our son or daughter for the first time ever you should be happy".

"I am happy but I am also scared".

"Holly Smith we're ready for you".

I get up and follow the nurse into a little room. I lay down on the bed as Cameron sits on a chair next to me.

"hello Holly my name is doctor Hall and I will be your doctor for a little while your old doctor is on maternity leave".

"hi nice to meet you, I am Holly and this is my husband Cameron".

All Cameron says is "hi".

"ok so what brings you guys here today".

"umm I think I am pregnant".

"well ok I'll take an ultrasound , run a few testa and we will let you guys know".

She puts a cold blue jelly on my stomach and an image of our baby appears on the screen.

"well it seems that you are pregnant ".

"umm how many are we having". Cameron asks.

"you are having just the one"

I See Cameron smiling, and everything

Seems so perfect.

"your baby seems healthy, their heart beat is pretty steady".

"that's good"

"oh you are about 8 and a half weeks into your pregnancy".

"already whoa".

"would you like to know the sex of your baby".

"do you wanna know cameron".

"ummm no i'd rather have it be a surprise".

"same here".

"so then you guys don't wanna know".

"yea we would rather not know".

"well ok then, come back in about 2 months and we will check on how everything is going".

I sit there listening to the sound of my perfect little angels heart beat and everything seems like its a dream.
