George POV

„Finally! There you are!", Nick said annoyed when I came shortly after 10.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't sleep well. I woke up shortly before 10", I explained while storming into his house.
"Ouh, are you alright?", he asked surprisingly worried.
"What? Yeah, of course. It was just a bad dream", I said confused.
"Okay", Nick went, "then let's pack everything and go over to the place."
We packed everything and left the house. Nick had a driver's license. I didn't, because of our money problem. My parents only bought me things that I needed and a driver's license wasn't really the most important thing currently.

"Now to the right ... at the intersection then to the left and then just straight ahead", I navigated him through the traffic. After about 5 minutes of driving we finally arrived. We parked in a parking lot about 100 yards from the clearing. Then we took the things out of the car that we had packed in bags for better transport and walked the rest of the way. We could see the purple weeping willow from afar. It was really the perfect place for a date.

"Alright", Nick said when we arrived there, "I'll get the picnic and the flowers ready, you hang the fairy lights around here."
I just nodded and got the lights out of one of the red bag. I used branches, bushes and other trees to hang around. We had also brought lanterns with us, which I also hung on the branches of the trees and placed on the ground. Nick had spread the big blue blanket on the floor and put the basket of food on it. Then he put two blankets on top to keep them warm in case it gets late. When he was done, he carefully took out the flowers and spread them on the ground around the picnic.

"I think we are pretty good to go", he said, sighing.
"Karl will like it, for sure", I encouraged him.
It was just 2pm when we finished. "Hey, we have 2 hours left, do you wanna do something?", I asked.
"Yeah, sure, what are you suggesting?"
"Hmm, what about...", I was thinking, "...how 'bout we play some soccer over there? I took a ball with me" I pointed at a free space a little further.
"Sure", he said with a smile. Then I took the ball out of the gym bag and we went over to it.

It was really a lot of fun, even if I wasn't the best at soccer and he was really good, it was a lot of fun.
We spent the next half an hour doing it until it got boring and we started sweating.

"Hey, do you want to freshen up before that?", I suggested to him.
"Yeah, good idea. Then let's go home and right after that I would pick up Karl. Thank you for your help", he said panting.
We made sure the food was safe and then grabbed the bags and headed back to the car.

Nick POV

I dropped George off at his house and then drove over to my place. I went into the bathroom and took a shower first. I was just coming out and was about to get dressed when my phone ringed. Karl messaged me.
'See you in a few minutes, I'm looking forward' and then this blushing emoji. I could feel a smile spreading over my face and it becoming slightly red.
'Me too. I'll pick you up shortly before 4 :)', I replied.
Then I went into my room with a towel wrapped around my waist and looked for fresh clothes.

I decided on a black hoodie and basic jeans. Then I grabbed a good perfume and sprayed myself with it. Alright, now I was good to go. I looked at the clock and read 3:40pm. I took my phone and my keys and headed downstairs. I got in the car and went to pick up Karl. In about 10 minutes I got to him and rang the bell.
"Hey", he said with a smile after opening the door. He didn't have much with him. His phone in his pocket and the key he used to lock the door behind him. "You ready?", I asked with a lovely smirk.
"Yeah", he giggled and got in the car. "Alright, let's go let's go", I said excited while starting to drive.

As with George, we drove around 5 minutes. In the middle of the way I gave him a blindfold and told him to put it on. And he did so, without questioning it. When we finally got there, I got out and went to the other side of the car, Karl's side. I opened the door and he carefully got out. I put my hand on his head to keep him from bumping against the car. I locked the car and we walked over to the weeping willow.

"Ready?", I asked when we were standing before the picnic.
He giggled a cute "Yeah" and then I took off the blindfold from him. When he opened his eyes, they widened. He looked around and put his hands over his mouth. Then he looked at me.
"Nick!", he said happily. I gave him a small laugh.
"That's awesome!", he smiled broadly.

I didn't know what to say, I just smiled at him all the time.
"Yo-you wanna eat something?", I finally asked nervously. He nodded and sat down on the blanket. By the way, it wasn't dark yet, so the fairy lights weren't quite as spectacular yet, but that was still to come.

I packed out the food we had brought here and also two drinks.
"I didn't know what you like, I just-", he cut me off.
"I love Monster, that's perfect!" Puh, got lucky there. We sat there for what felt like an eternity and only ate and drank in awkward silence.

At some point I moved closer and closer to him. When he noticed, he turned his head to me and looked into my eyes. He was so beautiful, it was hard to hold a blush, but it also didn't work. I felt my face going red. He giggled quietly before looking away again.

Then I moved closer to him until our arms touched.
"Isn't this weird?", Karl eventually said.
"What?", I asked confused. I was afraid he meant what was going on here and that he didn't take this seriously.

"I mean the fact that we don't really know each other, that we only met yesterday and now ...", he paused, "...now I have the feeling that ...", he looked up to me. The tips of our noses were only 2.5 inches apart. Karl swallowed and started to blush slightly.
"The feeling that what?", I smirked at him while looking deep into his eyes...
