George POV

I could see my death coming. Clay wanted to kill me, I could see it in his eyes, even if he refused to look at me.
"Clay calm, firstly because I was sure that George was good at it and secondly ... why not?", Nick tried to defend me calmly. I swallowed in fear of death while Clay slowly relaxed again.

"Okay, now, lemme continue!", Nick continued, "He had the great idea with the clearing with this purple weeping willow. So we took picnic stuff and fairy lights, flowers etc. and decorated everything there. Then at the agreed time I got Karl and brought him over. He was totally overwhelmed by the way, thank you George", he patted my thigh and I awkwardly laughed.

"Shut up", Clay glanced expressionless at me and I immediately changed back to emotionless.
"Anyway, we ate first and didn't really talk, but then...", he paused, "It started to get romantic and we started talking about our feelings. And suddenly we kissed ..." Nick became totally red and Clay's expression was absolutely happy.

"What happened then?", he asked excited.
"Well...", Nick looked at me and then to the ground, "we almost had sex..."
Clays eyes widened.
"Okay, first of all, how so? And secondly...why almost? What happened?" He was completely into this conversation.

"I don't know, we just got carried away and couldn't control it anymore...and...", he paused, "Alex caught us when we were almost naked." He became redder.
"What?! Alex?! Ouh, damn", Clay said, "So what then?"
"He called me gay and threatened to tell you about it. He thought you would kick me out then", Nick rolled his eyes.

Clay began to laugh what turned into a wheeze.
"Well, here you are, telling me on your own."
"But of course I know that it was basically a mistake, it's still way too early. We knew each other one day, now two. I'm going to take it slow now", Nick said with a bright smile.
"That's good. That is sensible", Clay commented.

"Yeah,...ouh, I go to the toilet, alright? Imma...just leave you both alone hear for...a few minutes", Nick said while standing up and winking at me.
I looked at him with this 'No, please not' glance, but then he was gone. Actually that was my chance...but my thoughts went crazy.

When Nick was gone, Clay stood up and walked away.
"Wait...", I decided to say.
"What?", Clay turned around quickly, "Do you want a little extra playing time? Okay, we can play. At least as long as Nick is gone" We slowly walked towards me with a cocky smirk.
"Clay, wait, no...I-", he cut me off.
"I what? Huh? You can't do anything against me. Why should I listen to you? What I always do to you is nothing. You know what I could do with you? I could just crush you with ease."

Now I got scared and walked backwards. "Wait, please don't-", I hit the wall behind me. Now I was trapped. Clay came closer and closer. He rammed his hand against the wall next to my head and looked deep into my eyes. His smirk was gone. He put his hand to my throat and squeezed a little like he was going to strangle me. I looked afraid at him and prayed for my life.
Now he began to look from my eyes to my lips up and down what made me glance confused at him.

Then we heard steps from behind. Nick was coming back, thank god. Clay immediately let go of me and walked back to the couch. I continued to stand there in shock.
"Hey, I'm back-", he looked confused at me when he came around the corner, "George? Why- Is everything okay?"
I shook my head to come back to reality. "Yeah, everything's fine...let's...I should go home."
I walked the way I thought where the door was and surprisingly I found it...luckily.

Before I could close the door behind me, Nick grabbed my arm.
"Actually, I came back a little earlier. I could hear part of your conversation, so I intervened", he said.
"Ouh, okay", I said expressionless and turned back around to go.
"You really don't want to fix that?", he asked worried.
"Nick, listen...no. He won't let that happen. Clay is just Clay after all." And with that I left the house.

I spent the rest of the day on my couch in front of the TV and the PC with Minecraft. A lazy regular Sunday. However, the rest of the day seemed damn short to me. I checked my watch and it was almost midnight. I yawned and went to the bathroom again.

Monday, my alarm clock woke me up and I got ready for the regular day again. I went to school like every day. Clay's group was back outside the building. Alex and Nick seemed to have still not got on, because they stood far away from each other and gave each other venomous glances.

When Nick saw me, he moved away from the group to me. He came up to me smiling and was about to greet me when Clay called from behind: "Nick! Ey!"
When Nick looked back to Clay, he just shook his head.
"What did we say about friendly contact with toys?", Brian laughed, then everyone laughed too.

Nick showed them the middle finger with a smile and then continued walking to me.
"Hey George, how was your day yesterday?" He put his arm over my shoulders.
"Nick, if you're with me in front of them, you're only causing problems for both of us", I whispered.
"Uh, pff", he laughed. I didn't find that funny, absolutely not.
"George,...", he looked at me seriously, "fuck them, okay?"
"No thank you, virginity is fine", I said, looking dark to the ground. That caused Nick to burst into laughter.
"Okay, okay", he continued laughing. Yes, I said this with the intent of a joke, but I wasn't laughing myself. Apart from Nick, everything sucked again and I couldn't find a reason to laugh.

"Ouh, c'mon George, I'm there for you man", Nick tried to cheer me up.
"Well, anyways we have our regular classes back today", I mentioned.
"Oh, right. I forgot. Then I guess we'll see each other in the breaks, right?" He was guaranteed to be over-motivated.
"Nick, just...go back to your group", I got rid of him.
Don't get me wrong, I liked him and his company was great, but I preferred when everything was back to normal. That would just make it so much easier.
