IV: Indirect Karma

Third POV

It was officially evening time, everyone had dispersed and gone home to wind down after a long day.

Right now a fancy black car was in front of large metal gates with K.B initialed on the left and right gates respectively, with a golden explosion being split in the middle.

The gates opened outwards, allowing the car to move forward down the long driveway, to a 3 story modern mansion. This was Katsuki's home, as he spent a few months to make it to his liking.

The foundation was mainly concrete, but there were plenty of bulletproof/ double paneled windows for plenty of indoor lighting.

The main floor had the foyer with the 3-floor elevator, the primary living room, an office, the main kitchen, a conjoined private catering kitchen, and a passageway to the backyard featuring a large pool, hot tub, mini lazy river, cabana, and grilling station.

On the lower floor, was the 5 car garage, a home gym, and a second way to the backyard.

The upper floor had 6 bedrooms, two technically being master bedrooms one being Katsuki's and the other is Keiko's, another one was turned into a large playroom and the final 3 were just guest bedrooms.

Currently, Katsuki parked closest to the elevator, cradling his daughter who was groggy from the long car ride. They could've arrived early but he had a small business to take care of back at his agency.

They entered the home, heading straight upstairs where he cleaned her up and got her ready for bed, walking around the room to fully get her back to sleep.

"Daddy...." She whispered, her grip relaxed on his bicep letting him know he could put her down in the crib. He tucked her in before walking out of her bedroom and over to his own.

In his master bedroom, the lights were dimmed, as he proceeded to strip out of his civilian clothing, looking over at the case holding his hero costume.

He was more than just exhausted, plopping onto the king-sized bed without any care about anything that happened today.

Well almost anything, his mind still managed to keep the focus on the green-haired boy he hadn't seen for the past 9 years.

He tsked, flipping over so he could stare at the ceiling, reconciling about earlier today.

Izuku barely changed, he still looked young and plain as ever and it was no surprise at how short he was too. But he looked beautiful, and way happier than when he was in middle school, even though deep down Katsuki knew that his disappearance from Izuku's life probably contributed to this.

Every day, from 8:45-3:15 for 5 days a week,  the middle school version of Katsuki made Izuku's life a living hell.

It was already hard enough to make friends considering Izuku was a shy kid, tack on the fact that he was quirkless which was looked down upon by society. So what better way to make things worse than to be bullied by the popular kid who used to be your ex-childhood friend?

Katsuki cringed, thinking about how he used to name call and use his quirk to scare Izuku; how he'd constantly dash Izuku's dreams in the worse way even though Izuku has nothing encouragement to Katsuki's.

He remembered going as far as telling him to "take a swan dive off the roof" if he wanted a quirk that badly to become a hero, then burning a book Izuku cherished deeply and tossing it out the window.

He got his karma though, remembering the sludge villain that attacked him before he got rescued by the former number 1 hero All Might.

Katsuki and Izuku's idol.

But after that day, he noticed a change in Izuku- like any light or hope he had to become a hero had been crushed completely, so much so that whenever Katsuki let out a snappy insult izuku would sit there and stare like his soul had been crushed too.

He laid off, after that just trying to focus on his studies, and boom! He got into his dream school and now here he was.

Number 1 pro hero and beating the record to have your agency at a young age. And he had a surprise but still well-loved daughter he'd do anything for.

His life was good and so was Izuku's he guessed, he had a job he probably loved and he was with someone he loved as well.

Katsuki remembered seeing the golden ring on Izuku's ring finger, so he was most likely engaged or married. Good for him, right? Yeah right...

Katsuki adjusted himself before he fell asleep with one solid plan in mind for tomorrow.

. . . Next Morning . . .

It was Friday, just one more day till the weekend. Right now in the carpool lane of the school, Katsuki dropped Keiko off, before he parked in the guest space.

He headed straight for the principal office as guided by one of the office secretaries, having a straightforward request.

"Take my child out of Izuku Midoriya's class."

The principal's eyes widened, "I'm sorry sir but to do that we need a complaint from the child- and on top of that Midoriya is one of our most preferred teachers by all the students."

Katsuki grunted, "Does it look like I give a flying fuck?" He shifted from foot to foot, "I have my reasons."

The principal paused, folding their arms thinking of a solution to please both parties; their eyes widening with an idea.

"Alright, we don't allow this often but how about you monitor Mr.Midoriya's work- we'll give a private room for you to watch him, and we'll have someone place a live camera in his room."

"If you see something you don't like, we'll gladly pull her out." The principal suggested, "would that suit your request?"

Katsuki rolled his eyes, "fine."

As he was then escorted down the hall to a private room with two monitors.

It felt like he was doing surveillance all over again, but what could he do about it? It'd be too much of a hassle to take his kid out of the school...

Call it vain, but he officially didn't like the idea of Izuku being the one to teach his kid, who's to say that Izuku wouldn't treat her differently now that he knew who her father was.

Indirect Karma for Katsuki's past.

The monitors flashed on, showing Izuku's classroom. one screen showing the surrounding classroom, and another one stationed on his desk which he was seated at currently. "This should be interesting..." Katsuki murmured, being all attentive to the live feed.

Class was officially in session.
