XXVII: Last Day
Third POV
If Katsuki could use one word to describe this very Monday; the last day before children would be getting off of school, he would've described it as fun, exciting, and reliving.
But today was an absolute disaster, as he found himself covered in dust, dirt, and small wounds, but he wasn't concerned about any of that.
The sounds of medical talk rang in his ears like an obnoxious bell as his sweaty hand gripped onto the railing of an ambulance stretcher that was being wheeled into the emergency area.
He could see from some of the side areas, that news crews and reports swarmed the exposed areas of the hospital to take pictures.
Fuck.
No! No! It wasn't supposed to happen like this.
Katsuki looked down, staring down at green tufts of hair, all dusted up, and green eyes hazily looking at him, with scratches and bruises littered on their exposed skin.
"Izuku... stay with me..." Katsuki pleaded, watching the boy's energy to stay awake dwindle more significantly than when he was being rushed out of the daycare.
"K-Keiko," Izuku stuttered out, swallowing hard, "She- she-," as he felt himself slipping away.
The next thing Katsuki knew, he was being tugged by two hospital personnel to let go of the stretcher, watching Izuku get farther and farther away.
How.? Just how? That is all he could've possibly asked.
~Flashback~
"Bye, daddy!" Keiko waved excitedly, before rushing into the school building, where Katsuki could see Izuku in the main office. He would've gone in to disturb the boy's peace but he had plans to attend to.
He drove off, unbeknownst to the people hidden in the school shadows, ready to hit their first target; only July 1st, 9:25 am exactly.
Meanwhile, Izuku and Keiko walked down to the classroom and began preparations for the day.
"It's so pretty outside," Keiko commented, helping Izuku carry out the brand new coloring books for the day.
Izuku looked out the window, staring at the trees in full bloom and how sunny it was outside, "Mhm, maybe you should ask daddy to take you to the park sometime this week."
Keiko playfully stuck out her tongue, "I wanna go with both of you." Before placing them down and putting one on each table.
"We'll see what your daddy thinks." Izuku smiled, as he then watched Keiko head over to her seat and pull out a pencil.
Izuku looked up at the clock before looking to the doorway where he saw his students run in excitedly.
9:20 am.
He stepped to the front and clapped his hands, an excited gaze on his face knowing it was the last day for them and he'd planned so many fun activities for them.
He went down into his drawer at his desk and pulled out different decorative goodie bags, handing them out to the kids who were already buzzed.
He then pulled out crayons, markers, and colored pencils, and placed them on the small tables, receiving small thank you's as he went along.
He headed to his computer and began to play the music that the kids had enjoyed and collected throughout the year, before finally starting to announce.
"Alrighty!" He smiled, "You guys may now begi-,"
