XXI: Interactions
Third POV
The sun was now beginning to set as a white car slowly approached the wealthy neighborhood home to the number one hero.
In the car was Katsuki, and Izuku who felt a bit jittery, as he stared down at his lap and fiddled with the ring he'd placed on for good luck.
He was nervous about two things.
First, He'd just been invited to spend the night with Katsuki and Keiko, so all three of them could hang out since Katsuki wasn't supposed to have work on Saturday.
Secondly, Katsuki just recently asked him to come over so he could meet some people, claiming that 'He'd just love to meet them!' so naturally Izuku trusted him.
They pulled into the garage, Izuku paused, not seeing any vehicles that weren't already there before. Maybe they hadn't arrived yet...
He supposed he looked even more nervous than he originally thought before feeling Izuku rub his hair, telling him that he should go up first and Katsuki would be in later.
"Where are you going?" Izuku question, adjusting his bag, now stuffed with clothing and papers he planned to grade later.
"Going to get food for everyone, I placed an order so now I'm going to pick it up." He responded, "It shouldn't take long."
Izuku slightly nodded, watching Katsuki pull out and leave the home, before he turned over to the elevator.
He looked up at the neon numbers of the elevator realizing it was probably in use so he looked around, spotting a staircase.
He shrugged, climbing up the polished garage steps and to the main level rather quietly, the only real sounds were his light footsteps and breathing.
Nervousness welled up inside as he walked over and upstairs to put his stuff into one of the guest bedrooms where he'd be staying for the night.
While he was doing that, the four closest pros to Katsuki had exited the elevator and waltzed into the kitchen.
"I don't understand why Bakugo doesn't have good snacks- I mean he has a daughter, right?" Kaminari wailed, trudging out of the panty with a nearly half-empty bag of potato chips.
"Bakugo doesn't eat junk food unless it's spicy, and Keiko doesn't eat a lot of sugar because she's a toddler and already has too much energy," Mina responded, snagging a potato chip from Kaminari's hand.
"Bakugo said he'd be back later with food so let's relax and maybe-," Kirishima tried to alleviate before pausing.
He heard a sound.
They all went silent when Kirishima held up his hand, narrowing their brows.
"Bakugo isn't back yet right? And Keiko couldn't have woken up so soon- she's always knocked out like a light around 9 pm." Sero whispered, making everyone around him nod in acknowledgment.
Kirishima pointed to the side door in the kitchen to a hallway that circled away from the living room and to the doorway to the garage, nodding over for Kaminari and Mina to check it out.
They disappeared quickly yet stealthily for a moment before Mina returned, whisper-shouting, "the door is unlocked."
Then they knew what they had to do next.
One by one they quietly split- Mina and Kaminari going the back way and Sero and Kirishima going the direct way.
"Excuse me!" Kirishima was the first to speak, startling the daylight out of Izuku who had his back turned against them. "Who are you and how's your get in."
Izuku's body shivered, raising his hands up in a non-hostile way as he slowly turned around, only backing away from them.
His mouth opened up but he couldn't speak, that feeling of nervousness of spending the night, then being surrounded by familiar people made him panic. He sucked in a breath attempting to speak but was cut off by a feminine voice.
"He asked you a question." Mina's voice echoed behind him, making Izuku turn to face her hesitantly.
The next thing Izuku felt was getting tackled by mina and Kaminari, a strong gust of wind exited his system in a painful wheeze, as he felt tape bind his arms to the rest of his body and his feet being bonded together making him fall onto the cold flooring.
"Awh-!" He whined, trying to catch his breath as Mina and Kaminari helped him sit upright as Kirishima and Sero slowly approached him.
Izuku tried to gather his thoughts, hearing sero talk,
"Maybe he's a fan that broke in?" Sero tried to reason with, "He doesn't seem dangerous."
"Regardless if he is a fan, breaking and entering is dangerous, on top of that this place is typically secure so who knows how he got in or who he's involved with," Kaminari responded as a matter of factly, tightening his grip on Izuku's arm sending slight jolts of electricity to help subdue the boy who was squirming.
Izuku opened his mouth to try and speak but he was cut off by two overlapping voices.
One of them was Kirishima, who had repeated his earlier question as to who he was, and a voice coming from behind all of them, sounding agitated as hell.
"What the hell are you all doing on him?!"
All of them minus Izuku who'd shut his eyes tightly in fear, turned to face the blond homeowner who held a large takeout bag in his hand, looking furious.
"KATSUKI-!" Izuku suddenly wailed, finally finding his voice that let out a sharp cry, struggling to get out of the bindings after the small electrical shocks had worn off.
they all looked down at izuku who seemed to be more distressed than what was initially given off.
Katsuki brushed past all of them harshly, tearing Sero's tape off of Izuku with ease, before scooping the boy off the ground and giving him support once he was upright.
at this point, they all felt extremely guilty and just a tad bit worried for their safety, now that they finally understood that the boy they'd just 'attacked' was Izuku.
Izuku shivered, burying his face into Katsuki, trying to hide how red he was in embarrassment for all of this.
Under his breath, he whispered, "I'm sorry, this is my fault... they asked me who I was but I got so scared no words could leave me."
Katsuki didn't respond, merely rubbing his hands up and down Izuku's body trying to soothe the boy whose heart rate had been accelerated tenfold.
So much for making a proper introduction on all ends.
