XIII: Prelude to Future
Third POV
Izuku tossed and turned all night, thinking about what he had told Katsuki. He'd let out a sigh of defeat when he looked over at the analog clock, which read 9:45.
~flashback~
"I need to know before we go out tomorrow," Katsuki muttered, this time he forced eye contact, as he reached out and grabbed Izuku's thin wrist where his ring was.
"Have your feelings for me-; have they changed at all?"
Izuku released the hitched breath he'd been holding during the car ride.
If there was ever gonna be a proper moment to tell Katsuki how he felt, he might as well do it now...
"Well..." Izuku paused, feeling his heart race and his hands becoming clammy,
"Yes, they have."
~now~
He sat upright and tugged his blanket off of himself, and headed to his bathroom.
He washed his face and brushed his teeth before getting dressed in regular clothing, planning to go on a jog to clear his mind then later he'd probably crash for an hour or two.
He grabbed his keys and other essentials before leaving his humble abode; starting off with a light walk before doing a calming sprint around the corner where there were fewer people.
Music played blasted through his ears, not too focused on his surrounding, so he wouldn't have felt the ominous aura that he'd just passed.
A figure, looming within the shadows of the corner Izuku had just passed snapped a shot of the daycare teacher.
Whose side in this society were they on? Well, that was to be determined later, but one thing was for sure...
If the daycare teacher was someone their boss deemed as important for their revival in this world- every second of stalking would count.
They turned away, walking deeper into the unknowing crowd; people with either bright grins or focused on other things at hand.
. . . DynaMight Household . . .
It was nearing 8 in the morning, but Katsuki could feel his heart racing.
He had the day off today, and as such, he figured he might as well do some more endurance training after taking care of all his household duties.
He was in a converted gym with the door left open so he could see into the room across, where his daughter, Keiko resided, watching tv.
Thankfully, after yesterday she'd bounce back to her normal buzzing self.
He turned off his elliptical and grabbed his side towel, wiping the sweat off his forehead and jawline.
Hearing soft patting sounds of footsteps entering the room, turning his gaze closer to the ground, to see Keiko in black, ankle-cuffed cargo pants, a baggy orange graphic tee, and a small golden 'K' necklace.
