XX: To Meet Izuku
Third POV
It was 8:00 AM, Keiko was already dropped off at daycare, a joy in her step each moment she got closer and closer to Flower Classroom A.
Lately, she and Katsuki had been coming earlier than the other kids who usually played outside before coming into the class for the morning.
Entering in to see izuku with his back turned and on his tiptoes, trying to gather supplies for today's class session.
"Cmon-," He uttered under his breath, straining to reach it before muscly arms wrapped around his waist and lifted him off the ground with ease.
He let out an 'ooh!' As felt himself get much closer to extra items and his feet being off the ground; as he grabbed the stuff and got lowered down turning over to the blond responsible for this.
He giggled, feeling a warm hand slip under his top, before grabbing Katsuki's hand by the wrist, shaking his head.
"Katsuki..." Izuku whispered, leaning over to see Keiko sitting by the mini library and reading a picture book, completely distracted by the fact that her dad was engaged in things you wouldn't expect a parent to do to a daycare worker.
"What's with the button-up?" Katsuki whispered, using his free hand to tug at Izuku's collar, listening to the boy whisper shout about the hickies.
"Aww relax, I can always make more if given the chance," Katsuki responded, he licked then began to suck on the already faint hicky, feeling Izuku wrap his hand around the base of the blond's neck trying to pry him off.
"As much as I'd like this to continue... you only have 2 minutes to get out of here unnoticed by my colleagues and the other children," Izuku muttered, pulling back and placing a kiss on the man's lips before trying to turn him away.
Katsuki chuckled, walking over to Keiko and gently stroking her hair telling her she'd see him later, before clashing one last glance at Izuku who had a smile on his face.
. . .
In his office, taking a sip from the steaming brown liquid with only a single packet of sugar, just how he liked it, and on his computer watching different surveillance footage.
It was nice and peaceful.
Or until it wasn't when Mina, Kaminari, Sero, and Kirishima busted into his office like it was no one's business, all four giddy for some unusual reason.
"Can I help all of you?" Katsuki grunted in annoyance at his friends who crowded his desk, unsure as to why they were even here in the first place.
That's when he saw it in Kaminari's hand. His cellphone had a new notification from 'Izuku' with a light green heart emoticon next to it.
"We've got your ass now-!" Sero chuckled, pointing to the text, watching Katsuki roll his eyes in uninterest, "We've known you since we were first years and you have never introduced us to anyone named Izuku- and we've met basically everyone, including your former middle school friends."
"So, who is he and why is there a heart next to his name?" Mina gushed enthusiastically, as the reigning queen of all things relationships in their class (even though she hadn't ever actually been in one) one of her major goals was to get Katsuki Bakugo in a relationship.
For as long as anyone had known him, it'd always be work, work, work- like he never even tried to be with anyone, not even a glimmer of hope except when he had Keiko, but at the end of the day that didn't really count He was too focused on becoming number one, as such they gave him props for his unfounded dedication.
"He's someone I've known for, a long time but never really got used to because I was well not exactly the nicest person to him," He started, looking away from his computer screen, "almost a month ago during so sort of parent-student meeting he was working at the daycare."
"So now I've been working to make amends with Izuku, who is Keiko's teacher."
"Wow," Kirishima slowly nodded, processing what had just been said, "So are you two yknow..?"
"I don't know, he's still shaky about being with me because he doesn't want to put Keiko, me, and himself in harm's way because you know how it is with the fucking media." Katsuki shrugged, "On top of that, I've treated him in ways that aren't very heroic, and now I'm trying to kill off former me to make him happier."
"He's the one taking the lead on this. Not me."
He'd expected to see stifled laughter after something that sounded so cheesy and fake, but instead, he got smiles and supportive faces.
"Damn, I wish someone would do that for me." Sero groaned, "From the way it sounds, this Izuku guy is happy with you no matter how you are, you lucky bastard."
"You've got this!" Kirishima clanked his hardened fist together, "we're right here for you if you need any help!"
Mina nodded, while Kaminari leaned in forwards, "Seeing as how you haven't told the public about this relationship with an old friend- do you think the four of us could privately meet this Izuku Midoriya?"
Katsuki narrowed his brows, recalling how in one of their chat in the first two weeks of reconnecting Izuku buzzed on and on about the heroes of class 1-a, making Katsuki grateful Izuku's flamboyant love for heroes hadn't left his personality. "Sure, my house I'll ask him to come over so you guys can meet."
Mina squealed in excitement only to be cut off by a threat from her agency boss,
"I let you meet him, but I'm only giving you one warning." Katsuki, "Don't be yourself around him because I know you guys can become insensitive even without meaning to."
"Izuku is constantly on an emotional roller coaster so some things tend to make him upset than others, so in the chance, you do say something that ruins his mood- you all will be kicked out and you won't get to meet him again, got it?"
All four of them nodded quickly, not wanting to upset Katsuki that was known for going on rampages if you hurt someone he cares about.
That's why all of them had to be in tip-top shape before even being in the same breathing space as Keiko when she was still just a baby.
Even now, he'd still attempt to skin each of them alive if something happened to her under their care.
"So if we're all done here, give me my phone and go be productive outside of my office!" Katsuki suddenly began to bar out orders, watching them all begin to speedwalk towards the door.
He picked up the phone and stared at Izuku's message, a confirmation of Katsuki's earlier request for the green-haired boy to hang out with Keiko this weekend.
He took yet another sip of coffee, his crimson-eyed gaze over to the large double paneled windows that overlooked this area of the city, noting on how clear and rather serene today had been.
Hopefully, tonight would remain the same as any other.
