Chapter 9

Bryce POV//

I was so happy that Addison was pregnant. I just kept repeating in my head 'I'm gonna be a dad' and the thought blew my mind. Addison is gonna be a mom, I was smiling from ear to ear the whole time we were at the beach. Now we were at a hotel addison booked us for the night which was so cute of her. It was right on Malibu seafront and it was nice just to have some time away. We discussed on the beach how we are going to tell our fans but not until addi was past 12 weeks because that's considered the safe point or something. Personally the excitement made me really just want to ring the boys and brag to them that I'm the first to be a dad but I knew Addison and I needed time to process it ourselves.

B: 'baby does anyone else know that you're pregnant?'
A: 'yes but just Amelie as she was the one who gave me the test, I actually took the test at sway'
B: 'wait so was it last week when I was filming and you said you needed to speak to her?'
A: 'yeah'
B: 'why did you wait a week to tell me'
A: 'since I wanted to make it a special way to tell you'
B: 'aww you're the best'
A: 'you are' she says kissing me.

We soon had a shower and cuddled up in bed. Addi had fallen asleep on my chest and I was rubbing my hand through her hair. I was also scrolling through my insta explore page and I liked and reposted some edits of me and then me and Addison. I always loved that people loved our relationship. It was like they are apart of it too. Don't get me wrong we have the haters but all of our braddison fans make up for it. I couldn't wait to tell them we were having a baby braddison.

I was getting slightly sleepy so I switched the light out and placed my phone charging on the bedside table. I cuddled up to addison and I went to sleep.

Addison POV//

I had just woken up to my baby bringing me the room service he had ordered for us for breakfast. I didn't eat to much not because i didn't like it but I was just anxious about my appointment today. I didn't know what to expect, I just hoped my baby was healthy.

B: 'why aren't you eating much love? Do you not like it?'
A: 'no I do it's just...'
B: 'what on your mind? You can tell me anything'
A: 'just I'm worried for today'
B: 'why I'm sure everything's fine with our baby'
A: 'yeah but what if it's not'
B: 'addi, don't worry the baby will be absolutely fine ok.'
A: 'mhm' I hesitated because I still wasn't 100% convinced

It was now a bit later and I was just getting ready for our appointment. I just wore some grey sweats and a loose shirt. We also had to pack to check out the hotel. Bryce was wearing a PAU hoodie of course and sweats. We got our bags and we headed down to the car. Bryce placed our things in the back and I sat in the front seat.

We pulled up at the doctors office and I was getting more nervous, Bryce held onto my hand and we walked in and up to the front desk.

R= Receptionist

R: 'good morning, how can I help you?' She asked politely and warmly.
A: 'um I have an appointment booked'
R: 'and may I take your name?' She asked smiling
A: 'ah yes sorry I'm a bit nervous, my name is addison easterling'
R: 'first pregnancy?' She asked
A: 'yeah and this is the first ever scan'
R: 'don't worry you have nothing to be nervous about, anyway if you want to take a seat the doctor should be with you shortly'
A: 'thank you' I say walking over to the seats in the waiting room

B: 'how you feeling baby?'
A: 'nervous but not as much'
B: 'well that's good'

D=doctor

D: 'Addison easterling?' I heard a soft voice call
A: 'yes that's me' I say standing up holding Bryce's hand
D: 'if you would like to follow me' she said as we walked into a room
D: 'so as this is your first scan we are going to do an ultrasound and also look for a heartbeat and then you have to do a small blood test. Does that sound ok?' She was very sweet
A: 'yes that sounds great'
D: 'so I'm guessing this is your partner with you?' She giggled slightly
A: 'yes it is' I giggled back
D: 'before we begin I would like to just say that I will be you doctor right up until really when you're baby grows up and finishes getting check ups, oh and my name is Mary'
A: 'nice to meet you, you know I'm Addison and this is Bryce my boyfriend and father of the baby'
D: 'Great lets begin'

She was so lovely this doctor. She instructed me to lay on the examination table and lift my shirt up off my stomach and she placed this cold gel on my stomach and then started looking for a heartbeat.

D: 'don't worry if we can't find one straight away, sometimes we have to search to see what position baby is in' she explains obviously making sure we don't panic.

I nodded my head still worried as she kept looking not having very much luck. Bryce lifted my hand that he was holding and kissed it reassuring me that it was ok. My heart rate started to increase as it had been a good minute or two she had been searching for a heartbeat and she hadn't found one yet. I was about to asked if everything was ok until...

D: 'looks like I found a heartbeat' she says smiling
A: 'aww' is said a little teary as it still didn't feel real to me that I was pregnant let alone hearing my baby's heartbeat.

D: 'everything seems healthy, you are around 11 weeks pregnant so I will print of the pictures and then send you for your blood test'

We finished up the ultrasound and she gave us some pictures. I went for my blood test and now me and Bryce were back in the car.

Bryce POV//

I was so in shock that I had just heard my baby's heartbeat. Addison and I were just in the car staring at the sonogram pictures of our baby. I was so happy and excited, and I knew Addison was too.
