It had been a week since Ryder was born and we have been so busy with a newborn, people have been wanting to see him and everything. I don't mind them coming round or us going to them but it annoys me when they want to constantly hold him or poke their fingers at him. It's just gets on my nerves, or when he starts crying and they try to calm him down like they are his mom or dad, it's usually cause he's hungry and I'm the only one who can provide that. I don't know maybe I'm just a bit overprotective now I have become a mom, I guess they mean no harm. Ryder is such a good baby he wakes up like 3 times in the night and once he is fed he falls straight back to sleep. We really did get lucky with him. He's already such a mommy's boy however I'm not counting it yet because it's probably due to the fact I nurse him, Bryce is also so in love with him. It's also 3 days till Christmas Eve and we have decided that we are going to go to my parents house on Christmas Eve and then Bryce's mom is going to come down and spend New Years with us.
Today Bryce and I are going to meet up with the sway boys and their girlfriends, most of them have met Ryder but not all. It was really cold out today so I needed to make sure Ryder was wrapped up warm. I had just finished feeding him and Bryce was in the shower so I got Ryder ready. I put him in a sleeper but then I also had this adorable bear snow suit that I got ages ago and so it only seemed right I put him in it. It was more like a coat but at least it will keep him warm. He looked so adorable I took a pic and posted it on my story.

Bryce POV//
I just got out of the shower to see addison on the bed with Ryder asleep on her chest, she wasn't asleep. She had put Ryder in a bear snow suit and he looked so adorable.
B: awww my little bear A: doesn't he look cute? B: he's adorable A: yeah I know, anyway ready to go? B: yes let's go
We headed downstairs and Addison put Ryder in his car seat whilst I put the diaper bag in the car. She carried him out and we put the car seat in the car. Addison still sat in the back with Ryder because she gets worried since he is only a week old. I drove to the place we were meeting everyone.
Once we got there I put the stroller up whilst addison got Ryder out. She placed him in the stroller. Honestly having a newborn is a full time job. We then met up with everyone and said hi. They all awed at Ryder asleep in his bear suit in the stroller. We went on a little walk first. (Btw it's blamelie, doah, Josh)
Am: hey guys Blake and I were wondering if y'all wanted to come to ours for dinner tonight? N+D: yeah that sound great J: yep I'm free Bl: braddison?
Addison looked at me.
A: yeah I think we can come? Am: we completely understand if it's too much hassle with a newborn? B: no it's fine we can come Bl: ok great.
Addison POV//
It was now 2pm and we had just gotten back to Blake and Amelie's. I was nursing Ryder since he was due a feed, dix and Amelie were sat by me and we were all just discussing things. The boys were somewhere probably doing something stupid.
Am: so adds how is it being a mom? A: it's great so far Am: really? A: yup we got lucky with our little man, he barely wake up in the night and when he does it's to eat and then he goes straight back asleep. D: I hope my kids will be like that? Am: does giving birth hurt? A: um let me think...yes 100% •we all laughed• D: that's why I want to adopt because I have no tolerance for pain but also it would be nice to give children a chance in life A: yeah I know what you mean but I think adopting can be hard on the child if you already have kids of your own? D: yeah! What about you Amelie? Am: me? I don't know yet A: well I will help you make your decision, here burp Ryder! •I say passing her a blanket and then him• Am: woah I have never done this A: it's easy just place the blanket over your shoulder and then place him on you shoulder and tap his back. Am: ok •she says nervously and she does what I told her but she taps him very lightly• A: don't worry you can tap a bit harder otherwise nothing is going to happen •I giggle• Am: I don't want to hurt him A: oh trust me you would know if it was hurting him.
Eventually she got the hang of it and he fell asleep on her shoulder. I offered to take him back but she seemed happy, i think she was getting baby fever. Then the boys walked in.
Bl: addison you better not be giving my girlfriend baby fever •Blake said looking at Amelie with a sleeping baby on her shoulder• Am: but he's so cute B: well yeah I will give you that B: hold him Blake, he doesn't bite. •Bryce told him laughing• Am: yeah here •Amelie passed Ryder over to Blake• Bl: wow he's a lot lighter than I imagined D: what ever you do please don't let Noah hold him and get baby fever because I won't hear the end of it. N: well who doesn't get baby fever after holding Ryder, he is adorable D: that's a point B: you look like a dad now Blake J: yeah it suits you B: now give me my son back before you run away with him •we all laughed at what Bryce said•
