After School

I walk out of the Band room, as I had just finished the class for the day. Kevin walks by my side as we head to the parking lot. "So, who are you going to choose?" Kevin asks. I had told him about Peter and Henry during Band and he was rooting for Peter. "I love them both Kevin, I can't just ignore my feelings for both of them." I also couldn't ignore the night Kevin put a love spell on me in the alternate reality, but that's a problem for later. "You got to do a pro's and con's list. You know, like they do in the movies." Kevin shrugs. "That's actually not a bad Idea." I raise my eyebrows to the thought. "Pro's and Con's board it is." Kevin laughs at his words. "Is it a stupid idea?" I say, noticing Kevin's smirk. "Oh no, not at all. I think it'll help you come to a conclusion." Kevin walks up to a new looking tesla and opens the door. "This is your car?" I didn't know Kevin was the wealthy type. "Saved up for two years to get this beauty." He rubs the car as if it where a baby. "Don't tell me you have a name for it." I laugh. "I'll let you know Tessy is a very good name." Kevin returns the laugh as he gets into the driver seat. I go to open the passenger side but Kevin reaches over the seat to open it for me. "Oh, such a gentleman." I chuckle and get into the car. "Your majesty." Kevin says sarcastically. I punch his shoulder lightly as he giggles from his own joke.

"Your place or mine?" Kevin asks as he pulls out of his parking spot. "I think your place will be a little less distracting." I say as he starts driving toward the school gates. "I don't know about less distracting. My mom loves to smother my friends." Kevin smirks at the thought. "What do you mean smother?" I ask confused. "Lets just say you won't have to fear ever being hungry." Kevin chuckles. "Is that supposed to be a bad thing?" I say jokingly.

Kevin's house isn't to far from the school, but his driveway is like it's own road alone. At the end of the driveway, we reach Kevin's humble home. It's like those type of cabins you seen in movies. The brick chimney and the cool looking vines surrounding the house. It's so cute.

Kevin pulls up to the front of the house and parks the car. "Welcome to Mi casa." Kevin gets out of the Car, as do I, and we head to the front door. Before Kevin could open the door, his mom swings the door open. "We have guests!" She gives me a large smile and she comes up to me. She pinches my cheeks and inspects my face. "What a cutie." She looks over to Kevin, I look over as well to see him blushing. "Hey Mrs. Massy." I say, trying to introduce myself. "Please come in, come in." She leads me to their living room and sits me down. "Would you like anything to drink, water, milk?" She seems super excited to have me over. "Water please." I give her a slight smile as she walks top the kitchen near by. I look over to see Kevin standing in the doorway, smiling at me. "What?" I smirk. "Told you so." He giggles.

Mrs. Massy walks back into the living room, handing me some ice water. "Thank you Mrs. Massy." I sip the water as she sits next to me. "Please, call me Heather." She says as she continues to smile. She seems like a really wholesome and sweet woman. With her curly hair and glasses, with some slight blush. "Thank you Heather." I set the water onto their living room table. "You're very welcome young man." She pats my back. "And who do I have the honor of meeting?" She asks as Kevin sits on the sofa in front of us. "Pierce, Pierce Pascall." She takes her hand off my back and looks at Kevin. "Pascall?" She looks me up and down and shakes her head, closing her eyes. "Oh young man, poor dear." She stands and walks towards the kitchen once more. I look over to Kevin, giving him a confused look. He shrugs and gives the same confused look back. His mom returns with a book in her hands. "Young man, destiny has brought us all together for a reason, but Destiny has a harsh way of bringing things to us." She hands me the book that I recognize immediately. The Creator, The titles reads. "I believe this belongs to you." Heather has now lost her sweet tone as she speaks. I look at the lock on the book. The one I had opened the night I saw the wizard. "What is it?" Kevin asks. "Kevin sweetheart, please head to your room." Heather says as he stands up. "But-" Heather interrupts him. "Now Kevin!" She yells. I still stay focused on the lock. I place one finger on it and close my eyes. The "Familiar" forms around the contacting finger and unlocks the lock. I open the book and go the page about Thanatos. The page I wasn't able to finish before. "What a great man he was." Heather says, noticing the page I'm on. "You knew him?" I ask. "Oh all to well. You see, I grew up with him. We are polar opposites, which is what made us attract to one another. He's the god of death, while I'm the goddess of Birth and Marriage." She flips to the next page to a goddess named Hera. "Your name is Hera?" She smiles at the name. "Was, my name was Hera. Most gods and goddesses don't use their names, well those who survived at least." She looks down at her feet as the memory saddens her. "May I ask, what Happened?" She looks at me and tears fill her eyes. "Do you know your father?" She asks. "I've only heard stories from people, and if I'm being honest, I don't know which are true." She puts her and on my shoulder as I speak. "Oh dear boy, You have been hidden for to long. You are the one who can save us all." I'm confused by her words. "What do you mean?" As I ask, she turns to the page titled The rein of Abraxas. "Your Father was a man cursed with Power." She explains. "He became obsessed with the name of "Creator of all." He thought he could control everything because he created it. And when he lost that control, he went mad. During his fit of rage, he killed almost all of the gods, starting with Thanatos." As she explains, I remember how angry Abraxas looked when Thanatos didn't obey the rules he had placed. He was super angry at the time. Now that I think back, it's all starting to come together. My father was filled with power and lost control of him self. I look down at my hands. "Do you think this could ever happen to me." I'm now worried that one day I could become like my father. "Oh sweetie, You're nothing like that man. He was born to be the creator and destruction of all. You're the offspring of him, you have a different purpose."

Heather hugs me for comfort. After all I just learned, it's hard to think. Why did the Wizard try to hide this from me? Why did my father get so obsessed with power? Kevin walks into the living room to see his mom and I hugging. "What's going on?" Kevin looks confused. His mom looks up and smiles. "We will finally be saved." She smiles.
